'Days of Roar' Tigers Podcast : It's still early, but how concerning is Detroit Tigers' offense? 62 minutes.
On this episode: After a 3-3 week, questions continue to percolate around the hitting prowess of the Detroit Tigers. Mark and Evan dive into the offensive concerns and break down if stronger bats should have been acquired in the off-season. Based on what they've seen so far, have the guys' thoughts on this season changed? After the break, the "Days of Roar" crew continues evaluating the offense and welcomes back Tigers radio analyst Bobby L. Scales II to the show. The trio talks about what they've seen in the nine matchups played, how cold temperatures influence the game, player development, the nuances of timing in hitting and more!

Tigers offense woes have been even worse than we could have expected.
Entering the year we knew two things: the pitching would be good and the lineup would be bad.
MCBTB

Tigers expected to call up outfielder Wenceel Perez.

Very frustrating how poor we are hitting right now. Just go home from my part time job. A couple of the hits Olson gave up were really weak contact. But he was falling behind guys.

I can see the As series sucked the life out of the board again lol
Hard to be excited when a team that lost 112 games last season and 102 two seasons ago can dominate you so much in Detroit. To be fair 4 and 5 years Ago the A’s had really good teams and we didn’t.

We could sure use a big come from behind win. Need a 7 spot.

Story of the tigers this year. We keep hitting balls right at people.
Perez first mlb at bat line out to rf.

Perez only the 7th mlb player to debut on a day with a Solar Eclipse.
Last one was in 1963.

7-3 after back to back infield hits by Keith and Veirling. Pittsburgh bring in Chapman with bases loaded 1 out. Baez up . Beaz K’s on 4 pitches. Then Perez k’s on 3 pitches.

I went out to dinner in the middle of the second inning, and just got back in time to watch 2 strikeouts to Chapman with the bases loaded. I have a feeling the next couple weeks are going to be brutal if I pay attention…

Spencer works a 3-0 Count then k's on a ball on 3-2. Next batter grounds out. Tigers lose third in a row 7-4. Greene doubled in Urshela before Spencer's Ab just missed a homer . Left fielder brought ball back but hit fence and ball came loose.
