Weather permitting, Dixon Machado will return to the Tigers lineup tonight against Ian Kennedy, who has put up 19 1/3 innings of two-run ball over his last few starts but has never earned a win over Detroit. Miguel Cabrera and Ian Kinsler have owned Kennedy in small sample sizes. Casey McGehee has not, but all but one of his at-bats against Kennedy happened in 2014 or earlier.
In case anyone forgot over the last few weeks, Salvador Perez is 16-for-39 with four doubles, three homers and 10 RBIs in as many games off Tigers pitching this season.
