...LMAO!

In two SEPARATE incidents last night -- 6 players arrested. 5 on drug charges, 3 on gun charges and one for battery on an officer.

I can already hear the fat Dame fan's spin ..."well, [he] wasn't going to see much playing time this fall anyways and [he] was already in Kelly's doghouse and rumored to be leaving anyways and [he] wasn't really carrying a gun, it's just that the media is biased against dame...."

Sorry, I have no respect whatsoever for the place or the program ...suck it dame.

ND sucks!

I was thinking of doing a little research and a post on ND mythmaking.

I read a more general article on it earlier this summer; basically their entire history is full of it. Knute Rockne told all sorts of BS lies to embellish his career, and when he died, was on a plane to LA to sell the movie rights to his story. (there are rumors the mob bombed the plane to kill a priest who witnessed a mob hit). the gipper speech never happened, and anyway George Gipp was an alcoholic and a gambler who bet on his own team's games. Rudy's story was equally full of BS, and since he left ND has been convicted of fraud and forced to pay a big fine to the SEC. and of course continuing the BS tradition was the Manti Teo fraud.

**** ND.

I can't stand their whole shtick about not being in the Big Ten because Yost was racist or anti-Catholic. You can still find records online of guys playing at other schools before going to ND. One guy was like 27 or 28 in his last season at ND and had played 6 or 7 years of football all together and then went on to compete in the Olympics. Yost was probably a bad loser, but the anti-Catholic thing was propaganda. He tried to keep ND down primarily because they were good. Otherwise, why would they have put Marquette on the schedule when they quit playing ND? But they still cry about it to this day.

If you want to do some homework on Yost vs. Rockne, look up Dimmick and Philbrook.

would be tough to push that narrative considering the guy started for 2 years and had more tackles last season than any other returning player on defense.

Dame fan hasn't responded yet but we just held our weekly call so we will see and I will repost it. lol

Ok ...

Re: Redfield being booted and otherwise here's the spin..

"Yeah he's been trouble. Got sent back from the recent bowl game. They game him too many chances. His weed, his gun. The rest in the car will get a talking to. The other incident was a player breaking up a girl fight and the cops showed up when he was separating the two girls. I guess people have plenty of cell phone video to back it up. It was too quiet of a camp so now its football season. Kelly acted quickly and will handle the rest internally."

looks like Kelly dismissed the guy with the weed and the gun (I agree the other guys in the car probably shouldn't just be guilty by association, and it's BS the cops would arrest everyone for a handgun violation. unless it was like community property or something like that.)

the guy who fought the cops (Devin Butler) at that shitty local bar is "suspended indefinitely" which means he'll be on the field as soon as needed. that may be week 1 where they open at Texas. If not then, definitely by week 3 (home v MSU; week 2 is home v Nevada).

LOL, "breaking up a fight between two girls"

...and in a hilarious series of innocent mishaps, that becomes "resisting arrest."

was checking ND's future schedules and noticed that upcoming 2018-2019 series with them is wacky... in 2018 we play them in Game 1 at ND.

looks like in 2019, we couldn't fit in into the schedule until late October. so we'll play them in the middle of the Big Ten season.

That's why I wanted to hear from Dame fan because no matter what happens there - sexual assault, dead videographers, academic fraud/expulsion - he always has a way to downplay it ...it's always something like, "well, he was actually breaking up a fight between a couple of girls ..it's all a misunderstanding, no big deal. Oh and that other guy, he was given too many chances"

it's what I called in the OP ...that Redfield was actually already in Kelly's doghouse/a bad apple/etc.

I would not be surprised to hear there's an effort to fix that. But there's probably also an effort to fix home/away with MSU.

Warde Manual said as much last week ..he does not want msu and osu to be home/home or away/away every year. M season ticketholders agree!

It might be more difficult than fixing one or the other, but it seems like if you want to fix both of those things, you have to address them together.

Sadly, (or happily, as the case may be) i have no ND colleagues here at work.

at my last job there was one, but she was a real trainwreck of a person. I generally tried to avoid her.

yeah, Damefan was demoted and relocated so I was pretty much trolling him on the topic but otherwise, am now dame-free at the office.

Gators, CU Buffs, Mizzou and MICHIGAN ...have a buckeye running our marketing but he's super cool and gets it and his Dad worked at osu for 35yrs - he has a ton of Woody Hayes memorabilia, personalized for his Dad (rip)

I have a single sheet of Woody Hayes toilet paper in a plastic bag and taped to my office wall. Does that count as memorabilia?

Eh... appropo of nothing other than ND hypocrisy... I'll share my trainwreck ND colleague stories. she had a lot of shit happen to her, but seemed to always return bad vibes in kind to someone else... you could see the bad karma at work.

things Miss ND did to amuse (and sometimes horrify) me:

- indirectly found a way to mention how great ND was on numerous occasions (but she went to a 4th tier toilet law school)
- got dumped by her ambulance chaser live-in boyfriend, and for the next two years was hitting the bottle and the internet dating sites pretty hard.
- could tell when she had a "date night" because she'd come in late the next day, obviously hung over, while claiming to be sick with something you wouldnt come to work with (severe migraines, the flu, bronchitis, etc)
- called a male coworker "sketchy" because he didn't wear his wedding ring, despite the fact that she herself was chasing after our dooshy IP attorney, and not being discrete about it (he was married with kids... but since he wore his ring, I guess this was okay?)
- went insane with rage over some pretty mild criticism from a senior attorney, and proceeded to say nasty things about his personality, weight, haircut, etc to other people, including his own subordinates
- during a presentation from HR, learned the company might possibly have information about employees' prescription medication history and had a panic attack about it, leading everyone to wonder just WTF kinda meds she was on.
- got sexually harassed by dumbass drunk republican attorney (who was himself fired for general incompetence later). the harassment was not her fault... but she did wear unusually tight fitting tops, which made her rather... obvious... in our otherwise conservative department meetings. on a few occasions he showed up to work clearly hammered, and using a pretense would come talk to her about work and just stare at her chest. I think these two were made for eachother actually.*
- saw one of our outside attorneys at a conference. while she did not know him personally she proceeded to drunkenly accost him, and accuse him of ****ing up a bunch of work he did, then had to call him and apologize
- oh and she considered the Manti Teo thing to be something that could happen anywhere, not par for the course for ND.

*one day he showed up to work missing a front tooth.
