Kevin McGonigle is the first Tigers left-handed hitter in franchise history to have 11 doubles before the start of May. He's also now reached base in 25 straight games that he's started, the longest such streak by a Tigers rookie since Ricky Peters in 1980 (26 games).

Casey Mize (right groin tightness) and Javier Báez (right ankle injury) will get MRIs before Wednesday's game to determine the severity of their injuries.

Ty Madden started tonight for Toledo, so, at least from a timing standpoint, he would make sense as a potential Casey Mize replacement. His velocity is down fairly significantly though, and he hasn’t been very efficient. Threw 73 pitches in just 2.2 innings tonight.

Parker Meadows was in the clubhouse. He is in Atlanta to see the doctor and get the cast off and stitches removed from his forearm.

It's ridiculous they called up Dejesus and Jung when other players deserve it more. I do not understand Harris.
Workman can play shortstop. Why not give him a shot ?

Does anyone else remember the game we played last year, when Jansen came in and gave up about 5 runs, and turned it into a blowout win for the Tigers? I have been reminded of that about half the time so far, the only difference being that three games turned into walkoffs before the opposing team had a chance to run the numbers up that high.
 
What a waste. As the tigers pen waste a Skubal start.
So if we had a decent closer we could be 18-13 instead of
15-16.

Seems like every relief pitcher we have walks a batter.
All Jansen does is throw pitches right down the middle.
