DeJesus never should been recalled . He was not pitching well in Toledo either . My bad he had 1 outing in Toledo and threw 2 innings and it era clean. So I guess tigers brass thought he could get mlb hitters out when we know he can’t. He is either tipping his pitches 0-2 or is just a shitty pitcher .

It’s the news we never wanted to hear. Tarik Skubal is headed for surgery on his pitching arm. Bone chips in his elbow are the reason.
It appears that this is not a new issue according to reports. Symptoms had started to appear off and on even before the season started. Some stories indicate that Tarik was feeling them over the winter. In a statement, Skubal confessed that during some games, he was going off to a corner to shake out his arm away from the tv cameras this season.
And then we saw the game the other day in which he was shaking his arm while on the mound. He could not complete a bullpen session on Sunday. Thus the news today.
This setback is bad for everyone involved – the Tigers, Skubal, fans and even Scott Boras. Tarik was going to declare free agency at the end of this season and go after what was expected to be baseball’s largest contract. Now everything at this moment is up in the air.
A surgical date has yet to be set but it will be as soon as possible. An expected recovery time will be 2-3 months if all goes well.
Today, we’re opening up the blog for fans to share their thoughts about this news.

Tarik Skubal: Undergoing a procedure to remove loose bodies, usually osteophyte/bone spurs, inside his throwing elbow. These are usually created by the body to help with stability as the repetitive throwing motion is damaging to the surrounding ligaments and tendons. Since the body can’t create new ligaments and tendons (hence damage to the UCL), the best I can do is create new pieces of calcium, which are essentially bone spurs. Sometimes they get dislodged and fall into the joint.Think of it as a rock in your shoe, annoying, painful and not supposed to be there. Hopefully there is no cartilage damage to the joint as a result of these (think arthritis), and it sounds like his ligament is in OK shape. Return returning in 2 to 3 months is realistic.
