The Detroit Tigers are now 3-4 this year when they score exactly 6 runs in a game.
The rest of baseball is 103-45.

Tigers Bullpen has now blown 11 leads in the 6th inning or later.
No other team has more than 8.
MLB average is 5.13

Concerning Matt Vierling play just summed up all Tigers' problems in loss to Angels.
Matt Vierling's lack of effort is inexcusable.

A sensational get to have former Tigers President Dave Dombrowski join us on Ozzy and Keats. Here, he talks about the dark days taking over in Detroit - & then we get around to discussing Brad Pitt and Moneyball.

John Keating

Do the Tigers take too many hittable pitches as part of the "controlling the strike zone" Harris' mantra?
The Tigers take 27.2% of pitches over the “heart” of the plate.
This is the 6th lowest % in the MLB.
However, they are hitting .283 when swinging on these pitches (30th in MLB).

Full Tigers medical report. Javier Báez is going to see a specialist for his ankle, which has not been responding well. Báez still can't run at full speed.

Tigers trade pitcher no one wanted for volatile Blue Jays pitching prospect.
It's more than we ever would've suspected.

Perez in centerfield . Sweet I wonder how many miss played balls we will see tonight ?

Poor Tork. None of his three hits were with the bases full tonight

I have sound muted and wasn’t paying attention.
Why did Mize leave the game ?

Awful at bat by Perez. Fails to move Tork over to third.
Now batting .163
Jones batting .167
Lee batting .197

All fail to move Tork anywhere.

Looks like Jansen is hurting now.
He gets pulled with 2 outs..
Hanifee coming in.

Jansen tweaked something now also, he’s out that’s ok with me don’t want him pitching anyway. Trade him if anyone is willing to give ya anything

So does Hanifee allow the tying run to come plate ?
Lmao he walks the first batter like all our rp do.

A pitcher covers first !
Nice play Tork !

Tigers score 3 or more runs !

Curly Fries !

So which two mudhen arms will be called up for Mize and Jansen or will they finally activate Verlander again

Tigers minors

Tigers blank Angels but Mize, Jansen injured: 'Hope for the best'.
Apparently, the 2026 Detroit Tigers can’t have nice things. At least not for long.
They won a baseball game Wednesday night, which has been rare. They beat the Los Angeles Angels and their ace right-hander Jose Soriano, 4-0 at Comerica Park. The win, their first shutout since April 10, snapped a seven-game home losing streak and was their second win overall in their last 11 games.

Detroit Tigers win vs Los Angeles Angels but lose Casey Mize to injury.
The Detroit Tigers can't stay healthy.
The Tigers earned a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, May 27, in the second of three games in the series at Comerica Park, marking their third shutout win of the 2026 season (and their first since April 10).
The bad news: The Tigers lost both right-hander Casey Mize and right-handed reliever Kenley Jansen to right groin injuries.

Tigers blank Angels as bullpen steps up after Casey Mize’s early exit.
When Casey Mize departed after four innings with an injury, reliever Drew Anderson didn’t miss a beat.
Mize and Anderson combined for seven shutout innings as the Detroit Tigers beat the Los Angeles Angels 4-0 on Wednesday night at Comerica Park.
With the win, the Tigers (22-34) moved ahead of the Angels (21-35) at the bottom of the American League standings and will try to secure their first series victory since May 1-3 in Thursday’s finale.

WHOA, NELLY.
Totally Tigers

WHOA, NELLY.
Totally Tigers
If true, and they were/are sticking to their 5 year plan, the off season moves didn't make much sense. Why sign a 39 year old reliever and 40+ year old starter? Why sign a starting pitcher for $38M a year? Why offer Torres the $22M? Why didn't they trade Skubal if they are still on the 5 year plan?
