Maybe today is the day they break out of whatever it is that made them bad.
 
Valdez has cleared 18.5 outs in just 2 of 11 starts with a season average of 16.6. It would take a near perfect game for him to go over this and the White Sox have shown they’re a decent team this year.

From Tigers game notes and Elias Sports Bureau: With Friday’s loss, Tigers have suffered a walkoff loss in each of their last seven road series, becoming just the 2nd team since 1961 to post that kind of streak. The 1992 White Sox were the other.

It’s annoying that the guy you extended before he’d played a major league game and hit .305 against lefties in the minors and hit .300 against them his rookie year is getting less at bats a game than Wenceel, Vierling and fking ZACK SHORT.

Tigers now have 14 blown saves this season. That’s tied for 39th most in franchise history. It’s not even June yet.

The Tigers are now 0-5 in extra innings, 5-12 in one-run games.
Last year, they were 21-12 in one-run games.

Mud Hens activated Tigers No. 23 prospect Trei Cruz from injured list today. He'll bat cleanup and play SS. Had Cruz not been injured in mid-April, there's a good chance the switch-hitting IF/OF would've been one of the Tigers' injury replacement call-ups.

The biggest problem I have is I don’t really see anyone on this team that hates to lose. I’m sure they don’t like to lose, nobody likes to lose but nobody on this team hates it.
 
Tigers are down 4-1 and the count is 3-1 you would think it’s an automatic take. Im unsure how these guys are being taught but that is really a poor at bat.
 
Well Bo still sucks. Glad we wasted the time and effort to get him back. Just throwing crap right over the plate. Both homers catch a lot of the plate.

Both of those homers were on pitches that were crossing the border of the strike zone: in other words, barely a strike. That is the opposite of catching a lot of the plate. Keep it real.

Keith should be playing every day. Some consistency might help him solve some of the mental difficulties. He also might as well be playing a fielding position, instead of getting rusty. It's not like the second and third basemen that we are fielding are clear upgrades defensively.

Not according to the espn graphic which is what I am watching.
He gave up two bombs in early counts. Either the ball isnt moving or they are BP gofer balls. Im all for being lenient on These poor millionaire players. But Bo didnt keep the game close so that is a failure. Agree to disagree. This is such a train wreck.
All Harris’s fault. Remember he thought the tigers offense in august and September was an aberration. Apparently this is who we are as a hitting team.


Getting back to pitching. Something just isn’t right with the tigers
Approach to pitching and getting ahead. I guess our starters are ok.
Maybe we should make Jack a bullpen guy. He can miss bats for a inning or two.

Go look at the MLB graphic, or go look at the video, now that it is up. They were both barely strikes, between 96 and 97 mph. Did they have any movement, or was he just unlucky? I will leave that for others to decide. The game was lost in the first inning, since we don't have a functional offense. Perhaps you should switch to the MLB app; the ESPN one makes the baseball look like a basketball in relative proportion to the size of the strike zone. That said, the graphic there shows both of those home run pitches touching the edge of the strike zone.
 
1/2 game ahead of the Rockies for the worst record in baseball.
