Game #60 Detroit Tigers @ Chicago White Sox, Sunday May 31st 2:10 PM

Maybe AJ doesn’t want to go through a rebuild and is trying is best to get fired?

Hinch seems to rely on formulas instead of actual thoughtful reckoning when making his decisions.

I truly wish that there were a journalist that would ask Hinch some pointed questions after the game, and insist on an actual answer.

All those wonderful right hand hitting options that can't actually hit....

As much as we dislike all the platooning of these players that some wouldn't be sniffing the team, I think it also puts stress on these players being forced to play out of the position they are accustomed to. Added to this theory is that it is difficult for most infielders to play on either side of the diamond, and some players just can't handle third base shortstop or second base. The positioning and foot work, with turn around second is difficult to complete a force out throw to first or complete a double play. Same with playing left or right field. The ball moves away instead of a straight line to right field Kaline used to talk about this.
Same with the pitchers. Bouncing from relieving to starting, it is possible that this is part of why so many pitchers have arm injuries.

If someone (Greene or Vierling) gets on in the 9th, we have that great lineup of three hitters in a row with a combined batting average of around .150 to drive them in.

Hinch has always been portrayed as a thoughtful, insightful manager, but this season, it simply feels like he has thrown in the towel, and manages with a preconceived formula that doesn't take in account anything in the immediate time frame.

We need a whole new philosophy here. Fire everyone and Tear it all down

Lmao
Anderson gives up another homer off a change up 90 mph
Looks right in the pitch was right down the middle.
I guess they don’t trust the 79 mph curve or his fastball at 98
