“Scott Harris Masterclass".

Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle, after 58 starts in 61 games, may get a rest day.
Tigers manager AJ Hinch, after answering the final postgame question Monday night, turned back to reporters and said, “Don’t freak out when you see McGonigle out of the lineup Tuesday.”

There was still plenty of time for him to change his mind, but rookie Kevin McGonigle was expected to get a start off Tuesday night against Rays lefty Steven Matz.

Gleyber Torres will be activated from injured list tonight and be in Tigers lineup against Rays LHP Steven Matz, manager A.J. Hinch told MLBNetworkRadio.

I posted here last week and listed Milwaukee first among targets for a Skubal deal…for whatever reason a lot of Brew Crew mentions came out today from various places (including Milwaukee) Saying it again…and will likely repeat it. MIL has some terrific looking bats in the org. They won’t get Jesus Made….but any two from Lara, Pena or Fischer plus some spare parts would suit me. Detroit should pay down a solid chunk of the remaining money to get the Brewers to make this happen. The Cubs make sense too. Obviously the Dodgers will likely be in it.
Yooper from TMLR

5 home runs is tied for the most we’ve had in a game since 9/5/17.

Tigers fans' muted reactions to Justin Verlander rehab assignment says everything.
Do we even care anymore?

Reality is setting in for the Tigers after latest Tarik Skubal trade rumor.
This is really happening, isn't it.

Tigers demote Hao-Yu Lee – not Zack Short – as Gleyber Torres returns.
The Detroit Tigers made a controversial roster move.
Second baseman Gleyber Torres returned Tuesday, June 2, after missing the past 27 games while recovering from a left oblique strain, forcing a 26-man roster move to activate him.
The Tigers optioned infielder Hao-Yu Lee to Triple-A Toledo.
In doing so, the Tigers kept shortstop Zack Short.
Are You shitting me?? But in reality they are both bad.

"He's going to be back," manager A.J. Hinch said of Lee before Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, facing left-hander Steven Matz. "I don't know when, but I expect him to learn from this and be more comfortable the next time he gets his next opportunity."

Looks like they sent Lee down. he only went 2 for 5 with a homerun last night. So, Zack M will start at 3rd. And Zack S at short. Two sub .200 batters! IDK

5 runs isn’t enough with Flaherty.
Need 10 or 12. He can give up 5 or more, and the bullpen is just as generous.

Two sac flys in the same inning. Tigers learning how to play baseball with a lead. Up 7-0.

Now can The Jesus hold it.
Not yet.
See if Jack can get through the 6th.
Sigh 4 pitch freaking walk.

I thought they would send Short back over Lee.
Short had another sac fly and made a nice play in the field

Pleasantly surprised Jack managed to go five decent innings. And now we gotta survive four innings of pen.

I wondered what the #4 was on the jerseys.

Lou Gehrigs day is June 2nd.

Now I know .

Can we take this park with us back home ?
Greene hits a homer right down the Rf line.
8-0 tigers . Only 328 feet.
It would have been 2 feet short at Comerica (330) RF line. lol.

Very cool watch AJ is wearing with Lou Gehrig on it.
ALS freaking stinks . I remember when I was young in middle school living in Rockford my dad would help a co-worker who had AlS.
His name was Dallas. Thats all I remember. We would go over and cut some wood for him and his family. BS disease. I wish we could save everyone who has that , and all the damn cancers in the world.
Or any diseases.

Max Anderson is having a night for Toledo as they are breaking out of their slump. Up 13-0 in the 5th. Clark is leading off Has two walks..
Stay tune for the recap.

Vilade use to be in the tigers system. I guess Tampa fixed another hitter.
