#1 seed Michigan faces #8 seed Ohio State

Ohio State beat Iowa 8-4 in the first round of the B1G Softball Tournament today. They will face Michigan tomorrow at 2:00 CST. Michigan beat them 5-1, 11-0, and 17-5 (all at home) during the regular season.

Michigan moves on to the semi-finals with a 3-2 win over OSU. Play tomorrow at 2:00pm vs Wiscy.

Michigan did not play Wiscy during the regular season. Not sure what to expect. Nebraska plays Minny in the other semi-final. Nebraska played Minny at Nebraska three times during the regular season and beat them all three games.

Well, have to play who they put on the field.

And now the game for all practical reasons is over down 6-0 after that grand slam.. She should have been pulled at 2-0 because of all her struggles in the Big ten... Pretty embarrassing decisions and now it looks like we are in roll over mode..
oh well still 5 more innings..

Wow! I ran out to get some lunch before the game and didn't get back until the start of the 3rd inning.

I don't have the Big 10 network. Is there a place that I can at least get audio? I thought the Nebraska website would at least have the audio. Has the Big 10 network shut that down?

Michigan put up a bit of a rally in the 5th. Now 7-3.

Wiscy picked up another 2 runs. 9-3. Driesenga only has three Ks on the day. Michigan has 3 errors.

We are safely in the NCAA field but a game like this will really hurt our seeding. I hope this isnt a sign of what is to come in the postseason.

Well, they have played over their heads all season. Still a great season overall, and continuing the regular season conference winning streak. Hopefully, they got it out of their system today and will move on to the NCAA with a desire to prove that they are the really good team that they have shown for the majority of the season. ML, do you think they will still be hosting the regional in AA? I hope so, they deserve it after the season they have had.

Its Wiscy vs Minny in the final today. Would not have expected that. Badgers beat the Gophers two out of three games at Minny during the regular season. They way they are playing I think Wiscy will win the tournament.
