Michigan complete the Sweep of Harvard Saturday winning 4-3 in overtime. It was a power play goal after the Wolverine’s blew a 3-0 lead after two periods. Harvard scored on back to back power plays in the third to tie game. This was a very physical and Chippy game.
Harvard came to play.
I also saw a stat as a #1 team Michigan is only
15-14-13 counting last nights game. That can’t be right ?

#3 Michigan State turns the tables on #1 Michigan winning 3-1 at Yost.
Michigan now has till January 3rd off when they play the USA under 18 team. Then ND at home January 9th and 10th.

Sadly um scored first but gave up the next two in the 2nd and 3rd.
Empty netter finished the wolverines off.

Michigan starts 2nd half of the season handling an under .500 Norte Dame team 5-2 Final. It was 4-0. ND scored late 2nd and late 3rd but. Empty netter sealed the win.

Big Ten standings 5 points up on Michigan state who swept Wisconsin in Madison Thursday and Friday. Michigan still has a game at Minnesota tomorrow. After tomorrow msu will have 2 games in hand on um.

Michigan hockey gets its first sweep in 8 seasons at Minnesota winning 3-2 Final ot. They are now 20-4-0 overall and 11-3-0 in the big ten.

They look pretty good but they have played 2 more games than the 3 teams tied for second and their schedule has been soft so far - 4 games against winless ND already an 2 against MN. They have split w/ all 3 teams tied for 2nd. This could be one of the tighest seasons in awhile esp if wisco continues to outplay expectations.

I do not disagree that for Michigan the tougher part of the big ten schedule is coming up last 10 games. All the two teams behind Um have to do is sweep next weekend and Psu could be tied at 31 points and msu could be 1 point behind. As you mentioned um is off this weekend. Michigan does still have 4 games with Osu and Minnesota who are both under .500 in the big ten…While I’d like to see Michigan win the regular season and maybe the BTT like msu did I really want them playing good and healthy going into the ncaa 1 and done.
I really want MSU and um to get #1 seeds so they will be on opposite ends of the bracket. Both are making the ncaa no matter what happens last ten games .


Top 16 make ncaa no matter what I think unless there are a huge conference tournament winner from an underdog.
Big ten has the four teams that should make the ncaa field .

A lot can happen so I’m not panicking or counting my chickens yet. But I do think we have a favorable setup - we still have 8 games against losing teams (4 games against MN, 2 against ND and 2 against OSU) - and we are done with Wisco for the regular season.

I think things are gonna get tight at the top and it could be a 4 team race for the final couple weeks.
