Michigan starts season 2-0 beating Stanford in Arizona by a score of
7-6. Michigan scored 2 in the top of the ninth to take a 7-2 lead and like the softball team gave up a bunch of late runs. The boys held on after Stanford scored 4 runs.

9th inning

Leading off a jam-packed ninth inning, Ladehoff drew a walk, and Josh Campbell pinch-ran, scoring on a Brenden Stressler double. After two strikeouts, Miller singled to bring home Stressler, pushing the U-M lead to 7-2, heading into the bottom of the frame.

However, Stanford (1-1) responded with a leadoff walk and a single before a flyout, then scored two on a triple to cut the lead to three. Gavin DeVooght replaced Preston Barr on the mound, and an error allowed another Stanford run. The Cardinal loaded the bases, but Stressler threw out a runner at home on Noah Miller's tag to record the second out. Stanford would plate one more run before DeVooght settled in and ended the game with a strikeout.

Michigan blows a 8-2 lead and loses 9-8 in 12 innings at Cal State Northridge. They play Pepperdine for three games starting Thursday.
They are (6-5) on the season and now 0-3 in extra innings.
 
Michigan loses another one run game 9-8 at Pepperdine blowing a three run lead. They are 7-6 now.
