Go Tigers ! As soon as we get the lineups tomorrow I will post them.

ALDS PLAYOFF POLL – SPECIAL EDITION.
Totally Tigers

At publishing, the Detroit Tigers had yet to start their 2nd game of the ALDS against the Seattle Mariners. They took the 1st game in extra innings.
It had been suggested that the Mariners were a little rusty, given that they hadn’t played a game in 5 days. They received a bye and were able to avoid having to play in the Wild Card series.
Those receiving a bye risk getting back up to speed with more than a day off. On the other hand, those forced to play in the Wild Card series potentially increase their chances of being eliminated because they have to play an extra round.
So which is better for a team to earn? Getting a bye with the risk of having too much time off or having to play a Wild Card series where potentially anything can happen?

Which is the better playoff option for a baseball team?

1. To earn a bye, play 1 less series but risk too much time off.

2. To play the Wild Card, stay play-ready but have to play an additional team.

Well, last night was an unexpected treat, especially with Mikinstry and his .100 average knocking in the go ahead run. Maybe this team can find the first half season run production for Skubal. He will need it as Seattle tagged him good in his 2 starts this year.

Man Greene had good pitches to hit. Frustrating.

Man Skubal just always struggles verses Seattle. I wonder what it is ?
He really needs a fast 1st inning.

Single (Sb)
Strikeout (nasty 3-2 change piece)
Strikeout
Popout 3rd.

Yes decent 1st !

Good first inning. Worked their pitcher for 25 pitches and skub got through their beasts. Hopefully he keeps the intensity up for the entire lineup. Can't coast through the bottom. No walks to their 9 hitter tonight.

Tigers waste 2 walks leave 2 in scoring position. Seriously how do you miss that pitch ? It was right down the damn middle.
Meadows wasn’t even close.

We don’t get shit like this every day.

We don’t get the Lions coming off two consecutive playoff appearances in first place in their division.

We don’t get the Detroit Tigers in the playoffs at the same time.

And with acknowledgment to our Spartan brethren, we don’t get the Wolverines ranked number 15 in the nation at the same time, in the expanded CFP era…at the same time.

Sadly it seems we let this guy off the hook as he had an easy 3rd.
I really hope Harris fixes this offense in the off season.

Torres, Carp and Greene just undid everything that was done the first 2 innings. Horrible inning

I don't trust him. He hasnt don't any positive impact moves since hes been here. The only decent players on this roster are Avila guys. Torres is his best addition and hes been meh.

Dammit you can't keep walking guys at the bottom of the order Tarik. Insane
