Kerry Carpenter and Tarik Skubal were nobodies from a prospect standpoint.

I give Fetter more credit on Tarik just as I give the hitting coaches more grief over the hitting.

Tarik Skubal has never started an inning with 97 pitches that is why he got pulled. Never. Literally never.

Kyle Finnegan went an entire month without giving up a run.

Harris made 2 shit acquisitions at the deadline, Finnegan was not one of them.

Vierling is a big miss there, even with his struggles he has a snowballs chance of doing something over Sweeney.

I agree it’s a tough spot . I see why Sweeney was kept over Malloy even if Sweeney doesn’t deserve it. He probably will be in Toledo next year.
Not sure what happens to Ibanez and Jones.. I guess it depends on Matt Vierling health next year.

Skubal was drafted in the 29th round lol. Carpenter was 19th.

Skubal was blah in 2020, meh in 2021, then took off.

Its not like he was Paul Skenes and AJ just fell ass backwards into it.

Tork, Mize, and Greene are products of a bad team having good picks, but baseball is hardly a given in those cases.

If you put a gun to Harris head i can pretty much guarantee you he doesnt think this team can win a title, or that anything he could have added would change much for them to win a title.

But if we are going to complain about anyone, Harris adding Paddack and Morton was horrific. We were better off with what we had in the farm or with pitching chaos.

He clearly has an eye for offensive talent. He has added quality bats that have patience at the plate. Something this team sorely lacks.
