ALDS Divisional Rd Game #5: Detroit Tigers @ Seattle Mariners, Friday October 10th, 2025, 8:08 Pm

AJ Hinch post-game comments after Game 5 loss: " ... it hurts you know, that group they gave everything they could. You had guys pitching on short rest. You had players giving everything they had because this was game five and we wanted so badly to take the next step as a team".

THE YEAR IN REVIEW – FAN FEEDBACK.
Totally Tigers

As we all know, the Detroit Tigers were eliminated by the Seattle Mariners in the final game of the ALDS Friday night. (More like Saturday morning.)
They went from being MLB’s best team for most of the season but since mid-July, their performance took a decided down turn. They were MLB’s worst team in the month of September.
This year, they won 1 more game than they did in 2024. The Tigers finished 2nd in the Central this year, moving up 1 slot from last year.
They managed to beat the Cleveland Guardians this year in the playoffs and narrowly lost to the Mariners. However, their playoff results were the same for both 2024 and 2025.
Looking back at the entire year, how do you feel about the Tigers’ year?

How do you view the Tigers' overall 2025 season?

1. Happy for the most part.

2. I have mixed feelings.

3. Disappointed for the most part.

Troy Melton in the 2025 regular season:
45.2 IP, 2.76 ERA, 20.0 K%, 8.3 BB%, .189 BAA

Troy Melton in the 2025 ALDS:
8 IP, 1.13 ERA, 25.8 K%, 9.7 BB%, .179 BAA

We may have just witnessed the start of a very interesting career.

Dan Dickerson statement:
"I want to sincerely apologize for swearing during a break in the post-game last night. Our mics were inadvertently left open — but I know better than to swear into an open mic. It was said in a moment of frustration, and not a reflection about how I feel about doing the game recap — just how I felt about doing it in that moment after a five hour, 15 inning, season-ending loss. I'm very sorry any fans had to hear it — my apologies again."
Every Tigers fan could agree on this: Dan Dickerson, we love you and you were totally warranted on the accidental slip of the mic. All is forgiven and never leave Detroit.

It’s Ok, Dan. You spoke for all of us.

Today, we’re going to keep the conversations focused on the 2025 season only. Over the coming weeks, we’ll do deep dives on the team moving forward including the roster so please save your comments about the off-season for then.
What’s on your mind?

Hopefully he doesn’t sign Boras as his agent.

Scott Harris: “I expect the players that posted dominant years in Double-A to factor into our big league team next year…”

He had Hanifee, Hurter and Tommy K. Left. AJ choose wrong.
I knew the game was over when Hinch brought in Kahnle. That game situation was NOT a place to bring in Kahnle. Seattle used three starters to pitch in that game. Why not bring in Mize? Kahnle was a huge mistake.
