The Detroit Tigers lost the ALDS to the Seattle Mariners in 5 games. Currently, the Mariners and Blue Jays are tied in wins (through Thursday’s games) as they battle for the chance to go to to the World Series.
One of these teams will face either the Dodgers or Brewers in the NL. LA won the ring last year while the Mariners have never won a World Series.
How do you feel about the Mariners now? Do you want them to get to the World Series? Will it help justify their defeat of the Tigers?
Or are you rooting for the Blue Jays because you want to see the Mariners lose?

Mad Max Scherzer is back. After being left off the roster for the 1st round of playoffs, Scherzer returned for the current series, pitching for the Blue Jays.
The year has not been kind to Max who is 41 years old. He ended up winning the game, tying the series with the Mariners. He pitched 5 2/3rds innings with 5 SOs and 4 BB.
But it’s what happened in that 5th inning that caught the sports media by storm.
His manager, John Schneider, came out to the mound to relieve him but Max was having none of it. He started screaming at Schneider, in a profanity-laced tirade, telling him he wasn’t coming out. Schneider retreated to the dugout.
Max was pulled in the 6th inning and was later seen shoving 3rd base coach Carlos Febles and his pitching coach Pete Walker out of the way.
Some fans have praised Scherzer for being a beast and getting it done. The belief is that if this kind of behavior creates a winning situation, esp. in the playoffs, it’s acceptable.
Others have said his behavior doesn’t belong in baseball. He came across as being disrespectful of his manager and coaches. Certainly, there’s a question about undermining the authority of those in charge.
What do you think? Is it OK to behave like this if you can successfully deliver? Or is it unacceptable no matter the situation?

Dillon Dingler was one of the biggest breakout performers of the '25 season. Dingler's 4.1 fWAR ranked 4th among all catchers, just behind Will Smith and just ahead of Shea Langeliers. The catcher position is strong across MLB. Detroit is lucky to have one of the best

I added a few players. Like Outfielders. No need to catagorize bad hitting. Actually I didn't read the blog to see which players were on the ballot. Only four of these players had a qualified PA count: Greene, Torkelson, Torres, and McKinstry. Most of these guys' def metrics are pitiful. The K% of this group is alarming. Remember Harris's lecture about getting players on both sides of the plate who "own the strike zone?" How is that working out for ya, Scott? Well?
