college football rule changes for 2016

#3 is the worst in my opinion. presumably since it only applies to "the passer"
it's limited to hits/tackles on the QB behind the line of scrimmage, but seems to create a situation where a player on the ground, behind the LOS can't tackle a QB.

#1 makes sense, but seems overly complex & impossible to call correctly in chaotic moments.

the other rule changes more or less make sense.

It probably won't come until after 2017, if at all but this summer both the NCAA Oversight Committee and the American Football Coaches Association have begun preliminary talks on possibly getting rid of kickoffs.

at this stage they're reviewing injury information to get a sense for how much more dangerous kickoffs are.
