Per the Tigers transaction log, shoutout to @JakeGiovan90008 on our discord, the Tigers signed Sean Hunley to a minor league deal. He has been a starter mainly.
We think he will head to Erie.

Mud Hens shut out in Game 2 vs Lehigh Valley.
Scores, news, and notes from around the Detroit Tigers’ farm system for Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Per the transaction log, the Tigers have signed right handed hitting E.J. Exposito. He will more than likely head to Erie, we believe. Was in the braves system, and can play multiple positions in the infield.

The Tigers' minor league system is dealing with a staggering number of injuries, with pitchers dominating the injury report. Of the 34 players listed, the overwhelming majority are pitchers — a mix of RHPs and LHPs — with ailments ranging from
UCL reconstructions (the most common, affecting Hamilton, Massey, Mendez, Montalvo, Wilson, Wimpelberg, and Evans among others) to shoulder strains, elbow arthroscopies, oblique strains, and more.

Notable highlights:

UCL reconstructions
are the most alarming theme — at least 7-8 pitchers are recovering from the procedure, signaling a significant organizational concern.

Bullpen sessions tomorrow
are scheduled for Max Alba, Scott Effross, Antonio Florido, Luke Hoskins, Preston Howey, and Paul Wilson — signs of progress for that group..

Hao-Yu Lee and Tyler Owens are beginning/continuing rehab assignments with Low-A Lakeland, the furthest along in their returns

C Michael Oliveto is out with a left great toe fracture — a tough break (literally) for one of the system's catching prospects, currently completing rehab daily with no clear timetable

Tigers have released RHP Phil Bickford and LHP Colin Poche. Both were assigned to Triple-A Toledo roster after signing minor-league deals in January and February, but neither pitched. Bickford was in big-league camp as a non-roster invite but didn’t pitch due to a triceps strain.

A pair of Tigers minor league transactions.
4/5 - LHP Carlos Peña transferred from Double-A Erie to Triple-A Toledo.
4/5 - RHP Luke Stofel transferred from High-A West Michigan to Double-A Erie.
