Get StartedIt really is starting to be apparent that there aren't really any great teams this year. I wouldn't be shocked if more than a couple 2 loss teams ended up in the top 10. Possibly even a 3 loss team with how things are going. There's a lot of bad football being played this season.
I am not shocked they lost. I thought Stanford got to much credit for beating USC. They went from around 21 to #8. The #8 seems to be the cursed spot this year. They are the third team ranked 8 to lose this year.
Alabama looks like a great team. LSU looks like a great team.
Oregon looks good.
Stanford loses by 4 on the road to what looks like they might be a decent PAc-12 squad. they're not frauds anymore than the '97 Michigan team would've been frauds if they had dropped a big ten road game.
you guys have screwy standards.
you're dumbYes, there are a couple good teams this year - but there's certainly a shortage this season. That's my point. I haven't really been impressed by anyone by Alabama so far. Even LSU has looked mediocre.
Michigan didn't drop a big ten road game....That's like saying Michigan would be awesome this season if we didn't lose to Alabama and Notre Dame.
Washington is going to be pretty good under Sarkisian and he's had a couple years now. U-Dub and UCLA are on the rebound and Leach at WSU will be fun to watch.
The Pac-12 is arguably the best conference Top to Bottom when you tune out the SEC media machine that is ESPN. Outside Bama and LSU, I don't see any real dominance across the board. They just get the benefit of the echo chamber.
???
But stanford lost. When a team loses they suck.
Losing = suck = frauds... hence the Pac12 sucks.

Why is it necessary to qualify certain teams or programs as "great?" Why can't the teams just play the games and see what happens? This insistence of anointing a conference or a team as "great" or "greatest" is stupid to begin with.
Washington and Stanford played a game that was far more entertaining than the Bama/LSU game was last year but it wasn't pre-sold as the Game of the Century.
ESPNsucks
Hey, Arizona is quite a bit better ... The whole Pac-12 has done well to raise the level in terms of the head coaches, compared to ten years ago.

Kiffin is a total douche, but he'll be able to recruit and keep SC up there going forward.
