Riley Green has had prolonged slumps before. Not walking is a huge indication of how lost he is. He had an 11% walk rate in 2024.

With Meadows out a chance for multiple people to step up who have been MIA. Vierling, Wencil, Kerry, Ibanez.

Reese Olson is out for the rest of the year with a shoulder strain. Only 3 of the original starting rotation are left. Parker Meadows is joining him on the IL which now has 11 players on it.

Casey Mize isn’t healthy, not a new issue. He hasn’t been healthy for 6 weeks.
It’s almost a situation where he isn’t able to pitch. The first 8 weeks were fun, his last 8 kind of miserable.

Tigers war of attrition is painting them into a corner, to get a couple of good relievers and another starter. I will be surprised if Harris does anything exciting. In a way I'm glad he won't trade away the top echelon of prospects, but disappointed because this team won't go far in the playoffs if they make the post season structured like they are.

Tigers had runners on 2nd and 3rd two outs..
Hour later I get service back and it's 11-2 good guys !!!!

I always wonder when there is such a radical shift in offense, from the constant strikeouts to constant solid contact, if it is the other team's much weaker pitching, a better approach by our team, or pure serendipity? Probably a combination of all three. Nice to see a game where the stress level isn't high, and the relievers don't feel like every pitch could lose the game.

After a horrific 11 or 12 games, the Tigers still terrific have the biggest divisional league in MLB.

We’ll see how tomorrow goes.
