Game #115: Minnesota Twins @ Detroit Tigers, Tuesday August 5th, 2025, 6:40 Pm

Cleveland may catches us. After Mets tomorrow they play
At white Sox, Miami, Atlanta, at Diamondbacks .
Tigers play
Angels, at white Sox, at Minnesota, Houston.

I hope Briceno is ready to be promoted next year. Get rid of Rogers and let him be the backup catcher/1B next year. Hell, even Liranzo may be a better option.
I can’t stand Rogers anymore. He does not hit homers anymore .
His defense isn’t as good anymore.
Make him a coach in the Minors. Hell did Nido get more hits to win games then rogers ? We hardly ever win when he catches I think.
We would have to look. Seems like we always lose.

I’m kind of worried. It’s not like Cleveland is hitting. They are still
-26 as they pick up another game. The pen they have is still good.

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY.
Totally Tigers

Now that the dust has settled over this year’s trade deadline, it’s time to step back and take a fresh look at what PoBO Scott Harris did.
His focus was entirely on pitching. The Tigers have lost yet another starter and their bullpen ranks among the worst currently in MLB. He acquired 7 pitchers in all including:
– SP Chris Paddack
– Reliever Rafael Montero
– Reliever Paul Sewald
– Closer Kyle Finnegan
The Diamondbacks wanted multiple ranked prospects in exchange for 2 months of Eugenio Suarez. Harris was reported to say that he would not give them up. He was also hesitant to trade for rentals.
He acquired 1 reliever who will be a free agent after this season and gave up several A-level prospects in what was known as a market that heavily favored sellers.
What do think about Harris’ moves overall?

What do think about Harris' trade moves overall?

1. Solid moves that addressed the biggest concerns without depleting solid prospect talent.

2. Too conservative. Should have traded more talent in order to get more talent.

3. Didn't do enough. Should have gone "all in" and given up multiple ranked prospects to get the best available players.

4. Too soon to tell. Need to see this play out.
