Game #119: Los Angeles Angels @ Detroit Tigers, Sunday August 10th, 2025, 1:40 Pm

PONDERING THE IMPACTFUL.
Totally Tigers

This week, a new assortment about the little things going on with our team. Little bits of info that are under the radar. Important observations but not enough to make each into its own blog.
I’ve got 5 small but powerful observations I’ve been collecting over recent days. I’m asking you to pick one and run with it.

Scott Harris has a pitching problem. These are pitchers he’s acquired and drafted.

Starters: Kenta Maeda-Michael Lorenzen-Jack Flaherty-Alex Cobb-Chris Paddack-Charlie Morton

Bullpen:-Tyler Holton-Chasen Shreve-Andrew Vasquez-Shelby Miller-John Brebbia-Tommy Kahnle-Carlos Hernandez-Bailey Horn-Luke Jackson-Rafael Montero-Brenan Hanifee-Andrew Chafin-Sean Guenther -Dietrich Enns-Geoff Hartlieb.

Pitchers drafted within top 10 rounds:
2023: Paul Wilson rd 3 Jaden Hamm rd 5 Jatnk Diaz rd 8 Hayden Minton rd 9
Andrew Sears rd 10
2024: Owen Hall rd 2 Ethan Schiefelbein rd 2 Josh Randall rd 3 Michael Massey rd 4 Ethan Sloan Rd 8 Zach Swanson Rd 9 RJ Sales Rd 10
No 2025 picks because they haven’t debuted. And it’s still too early to call any of these guys “bad picks” but it’s not promising. They all mostly look like AT BEST back end rotation pieces or they have serious injuries.
looking at the farm system, it appears that they have good positional prospects, but no pitchers.
