Also lack of run support probably cost him the game.
You cannot make that pitch on a 1-2 count to Montgomery.

Another embarrassing loss. The team had a chance to get a nice small winning streak going. Had a chance for a fast series win by winning the first two games. Now Skubal has to win the series for us with Rogers catching. . Were is the Jake that hit homers two years ago?

I’ve been talking about him all night. Hopefully He replaces Jones.
He was 20 for 96 with 16 RBIs. Yeah his average was .208 and slugging down but he would be 6th in obp for the tigers.
he should lead off against LHP. His obp is almost .340.

It’s crazy . He was only one really hitting last month. We just cant get them all together. Man it’s been a Struggle since the all star game.

We weren't great at risp in the first half, either. The pitching was just better. It was a theme last year; the best way to get out of an inning against us seemed to be loading the bases.

He hit the bag hard and was limping down the line after hitting bag with his heel.
