I truly in my 60 years have NEVER SEEN a POBO play for 2027 when his team has won close to 100 of their last 162 AND has a 6+ game LEAD in the division..NEVER..most amazing level of baseball arrogance I have ever witnessed..and if you believe you have elite scouting and PD..
lets finish this sentence..if you believe you have elite scouting and player develeopment..dealing prospects should never be an obstacle..because you should be able to replace them..I mean you do have elite scouting and player development.

Been watch some of that marlins game. Quite a few 2 out runs being scored. Now 13-4.
 
Laim Hicks for the Marlins was part of the Carson Kelly trade. He is playing 1st base for the Marlins. We sent him to Erie I think. Marlins liked him i guess.. at least I think it’s the same Hicks. I think he is a platoon player. Idk.

Mudhens getting 1 hit in top 9 th Down 2-0.

Hanifee just struck out the side in top of the 9th. His Toledo era is 2.45. August 17th is his earliest date he can return.

Erie coughed up the lead in bottom of the 8th. Erie was up 5-4.
6-5 top 9th #9 hitter pop out.

Leadoff hitter Clark walked. His 3rd of the game.
McGonigle hit a two run homer . 7-6 top 9. To Center Field.
Hope pen can hold the lead. Briceno popout. Then a double and single later it’s 8-6. To be fair Chesapeake is really bad.
Erie ends up winning 8-6. Max clark had 3 walks.
Kevin’s homer was the winner.

Minor League update Wednesday August 13th, 2025

Toledo Mudhens (63-53) (24-17) second half. (Won first half) Lost tonight 2-0, and only had 1 hit. Hanifee had a clean inning and struckout 3 in the 9th. His era is 2.45 at Toledo.
Four Mudhens pitchers 15 k’s and 2 Bb’s. All pitched well.

Dodgers blew another lead to the Los Angeles Angels. They were up 5-0 I think. Padres finally caught them. What’s crazy is the dodgers are 0-6 against the Brewers, and 0-6 against the Angels. Lost seven in a row now to them.
LAA is now 59-62. They lose 2 of 3 at Detroit and go home and sweep the dodgers who we can’t beat. Go figure.
 
Kyle Finnegan was an absolute steal at the trade deadline. I’d love to see the Detroit Tigers prioritize re signing him.
