Game #125: Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins, Saturday August 16th, 2025, 7:15 Pm

They still haven’t learned vest is better in the 9th and not the 8th. The new guy needs to be the 8th inning guy and vest the 9th.

Vest
Twins 8th
Buxton 4-3
Clemens (2-2) single
Keaschall singles
Jeffers K’s
Wallner BB
Lee K’s
Tigers lead 6-5 heading to the 9th.

Vest just isn’t good in the 8th like you said.
Least he got out of his own jam this 8th.

I hate it when our relievers start spraying fast balls all over the place, and walk .213 hitters.

I thought we had a crack analytics department do they not know his data in the 8th.

I think 3 or 4 different guys used that pencil bat for the twins and I don’t think it produced any hits at all for them. That bat was annoying me for some reason.

Tigers 9th
McKinstry singles (to second)
Dingler K’s
Sweeney E-1 (throw) 7-5 Tigers ! Makes 3rd.
Jones singles 8-5 Tigers (off a Righty’ rbi) sb
Torres popout 2b
Carpenter.

Tigers 4-21 RISP with 8 runs is just strange. With 14 Lob’s

Team RISP4-21 (Torres 0-4, Jones 2-2, McKinstry 0-3, Pérez 0-2, Greene 0-2, Carpenter 0-1, Dingler 0-2, Sweeney 1-2, Torkelson 1-2, Keith 0-1)

Twins 9th
Lewis 5-3
Outman K’s
Martin single
Buxton (0-2),(1-2), K’s

Tigers win 8-5 Final !

series win !

Did you guys see the look on Vest face as he was walking to the dugout after getting out of the 8th inning.

Looked like he was looking in the twins dugout.
Not sure why . He looked mad about something.
