Lost 4-3 . Tough loss had lead heading to 9th.
Heuer coughed up a 3-2 lead in top of the 9th. Not sure what they see from a guy who throws the way he does.

Do “not for nothin’” and “for what it’s worth” mean pretty much the same thing?

Anyways, the streak that returns our Tigers to a 8 and a half gain lead feels somewhat better.

Go get’em Tigers.

Rahr.

Despite 9 walks, Tigers' 4th straight win anything but a free pass.

DEEPER DISCUSSIONS.
Totally Tigers

Detroit Tiger fans were pleasantly surprised late last season when the team came out of nowhere to post the best record for the last 2 months of the season and make the playoffs.
This year, we watched the team once again lead all of MLB in wins until just recently. Wins have slowed down now for over a month and the team has lost the 15.5 game lead over the Guardians. They remain in 1st place with a 6 – 7.5 lead.
The cracks have started to show. Offense is no longer as consistent as it was and the bullpen has taken a deep dive. The starting rotation has been hit with multiple significant injuries and it has lost over half its members from the beginning of the year.
Positionally, the team lost multiple key players – some going on several IL stints.
Two weeks ago, the Tigers traded for a combination of 7 starters and relievers.
The majority of them are currently in Detroit.
As you look at the roster now, has your opinion of the collection of players changed from the beginning of the year? As you consider, keep in mind the obstacles the team has faced as well as the changes in performance.
Today’s blog addresses this question and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with others by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!

Ready?

Has your opinion of the Tigers' roster changed from earlier this year?

1. No, always believed they were solid and still do.

2. Felt more favorable towards the roster earlier in the year and now I'm more pessimistic.

3. Didn't feel great about the roster earlier in the season but feel better about it now.

4. Didn't feel great about the roster earlier in the year and feel even less positive about it now.

Based on the few responses we got in the prediction thread the team is outperforming expectations. Especially given losing Olson and Jobe.
