Kyle Finnegan since joining the Tigers: 8.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 11 K.

Skubal's 10th strikeout last night gives him 16 career double-digit strikeout games including nine this season, tying Hal Newhouser for the third-most in a single season by a Tigers pitcher in franchise history. This was also his 200th strikeout of the year, leading MLB. He joined Curt Schilling (2002) as just the second pitcher in major league history to record at least 200 strikeouts with 25 walks or fewer in his first 25 starts of a season.

The Kyle Finnegan/Will Vest combo since the trade deadline: 17.1 IP 11 H 2 ER 2 BB 21 SO 1.04 ERA 0.750 WHIP 10.9 SO/9.

This isn't good.
Last night, Max Clark swings and misses, feels something wrong in his hand, and leaves the game. Hate to speculate with injuries, but something similar happened to McGonigle last year and it ended up being a broken hamate bone.

Kevin McGonigle is unreal. I don’t know how you beat him, but you can cross off 100 MPH up and in.
By the way...this left the bat at 113.3 MPH for Kevin McGonigle. A new max EV.

So, how far did Kevin McGonigle hit that ball?

I’ve been calling games at UPMC Park for 19 seasons. I have seen a grand total of two balls that have cleared the building across the street in a game. Steven Moya in 2014 and now Kevin McGonigle tonight. Just incredible. Greg Gania.

Alex Cobb in Rochester last night in relief: 3IP 4K 1BB 36 pitches, 26 for strikes.
15 million for damaged goods who "Might" pitch in September.

Most strikeouts in the second-half:- Mike Trout (47)- James Wood (47)- Shohei Ohtani (42)- Cal Raleigh (42)- Kyle Schwarber (40)- Jo Adell (39)- Rafael Devers (39)- Riley Greene (39).

Rogers is worthless. Cant even play good defense now.

Baez with the glove flip to Torres. Hmmm.🤔
Looked nifty.

tigers 2nd
Jones single (SB)
Torres K’s
Ibanez 4-3
Tork 5-3

Top 3rd
Peña double. (Goes to 3rd on fly out)
Correa F-9
Altuve popout Ss.
Walker popout Ss

Tigers 3rd.

Greene 4-3
Dingler doubles.
Perez F-7 (3-1) count
Baez (0-2 count) singles cf RBI 7-0.
>Rogers< 5-3 poor guy needs a hit. (Batting .168)

Tigers up 7-0 end of three.

(What happened to the Jake who used to hit high far drives to the outfield) ? Yeah the Astros pitcher is a ground ball pitcher but two years ago Jake hit 20+ homers.
