I have hated the Oakland a's since the mid 1960's when they used to throw and hit Tigers batters in the head and body parts. Rat fcuk lew krause Jr. especially for hitting and breaking Kaline's arm in the summer of 1968, rat fcuk jack aker for throwing at Northrup and Horton, and rat fcuk campaneris for throwing his bat at Tigers pitcher Lerrin Lagrow in the 72 playoffs.

Riley Greene with hitting 30 home runs last week, joined a RARE list of players drafted by the Tigers.

Dillon Dingler: Catcher of the future.

Days of Roar Tigers Podcast: Detroit Tigers make statement with Astros sweep; Baseball America's Geoff Pontes on Kevin McGonigle. 68 minutes.

The West Michigan Whitecaps have a plus 275 run differential after winning 16-0 Sunday. No other team in organized baseball is higher than a plus 148. Their manager, Tony Cappuccilli seems like he is getting the most from his players.

Skubal allowed one earned run last night. His ERA is 2.28
McKinstry error saved Skubals ERA.
Tarik Skubal had allowed 27 ER for the season through July 31. He has allowed 14 in 32.1 August innings.

The Tigers have scored 18 runs for Tarik Skubal over his last 10 starts, covering 61.1 innings (and counting). That’s about 2.6 runs per 9 innings, which is the 2nd lowest out of 74 qualified pitchers in that time.
Only Shane Baz (2.28) has gotten less run support.

Tigers SP ERA last 30 days:
Skubal 3.06 (if you add the 5 runs from last night) 4.45
Morton 3.63
Mize 4.74
Paddack 5.13
Flaherty 5.18

Tigers radio analyst Bobby Scales will switch to the TV booth for this road trip. He’s done pregame and postgame on Tigers TV, but this is his booth debut.

AJ Hinch, on MLB radio, said Alex Cobb was being pulled off his rehab assignment and shut down for a week. This allows the club to reset the assignment for another 30 days, but obviously a decision will have to be made before that. Time is about up.

That’s all I need to see for tonight. Tigers will get swept in this series Oakland bats are just way too legit while tiger bats swing right through meat balls.

Oh Great.
White Sox choke a 4-0 8th inning lead away.
And
Charlie reverts back to giving up bombs.

Team better start hitting.

Riley hits one 471 feet. I guess he lined that one up well. Tigers up 4-3

1-2 count too. I'm watching on my phone.. ball was crushed.

Morton blows tonight. Embarrassing they can't hold a lead.

Must be nice ro have a shutdown inning after taking a lead.

Lots of Lobs yet again tonight. Up to 7 and 1 for 8 hitting with RISP.

The bad news bears.

You don’t see a play like that very often in a major-league ball game.

Maybe it’s cause they’re playing in a minor-league park, I don’t know.

End of 8, still tied 5-5. We need better at bats and better fielding (and a couple of runs this inning). Melton has been doing well.

Just throw tiger batters high heat with 2 strikes and 80% of the time we chase.

And instead they go down 1-2-3, every one of them swinging at balls.

Keith and Carpenter basically chase shame pitch with 2 strikes.
Both not strikes.
