Game #137: Detroit Tigers @ Kansas City Royals, Saturday August 30th, 2025, 7:15 pm

We had better win tomorrow. The Mets have been playing well recently, aside from the starter today ( who we won’t see).

Tigers waste a golden opportunity in a good Jack start by not taking advantage of opportunities to score.,

Very frustrating. 1-10 RISP . That awful.
Sweeney at bat .. yikes.

DEEPER DISCUSSIONS.
Totally Tigers

It has been 8 years since a Detroit Tiger has reached 100 RBIs. The last to do it was Nick Castellanos back in 2017.
Riley Greene just ended that drought, having reached 101 RBIs on Friday night.
Since 2017, 27 of the 30 MLB teams have had at least 1 player reach this benchmark. The Tigers were not one of them.
Ironically, the team this year sits at #3 for most RBIs in baseball. Over half their usual starting lineup has 50 or more RBIs.
Can a team be playoff great with no one player reaching 100 RBIs?
Is it just as noteworthy if the entire roster contributes to being one of the top RBI teams as a whole?
How important is it for you that the Tigers have at least 1 player who reaches this goal?
Today’s blog addresses this question and allows readers to share their thoughts in more detail. And hopefully, to actively engage with others by responding to their posts and creating back-and-forth discussion threads. The more the merrier!
For this one blog only, you’ve got 6 sentences max to share your thoughts. Of course, you can also respond to other readers.
TT will supply the ammunition. One thought-provoking question. Several options provided. One hard choice to be selected. One vote.
Ready?

How important to you is having at least 1 Tiger with 100+ RBIs?

1. Very important.

2. I prefer to look at the overall team RBIs.
