I wish other hitters would use Jake’s approach to hitting. Opposite field hitting could sure help some of the guys.

This is So frustrating we take a lead and cant get a shutdown inning.
They tie the game and we go out 123.
AJ has to get kicked out . This ump is giving anything close to the Mets pitcher while Mize is not getting those same close strikes.

Batting .208 now !
He has had a tough season, getting injured early, then coming back to very little play. It's hard to recover timing at the plate under those conditions.

AB by Riley sums up what he needs to improve on, called strike one, next 5 pitches were balls and he swung at 3 of them and got himself out.
Mize allowing progressively more hard contact, now has thrown 13 splits, 2 whiffs both in the first inning. Its a matter of time, unless he can get more whiffs on his split.
