Game #141: New York Mets @ Detroit Tiger,Wednesday September 3rd, 2025, 1:10 Pm

Dickerson said that they pulled mize because of third time through.
Plus rested pen and day off Thursday. Maybe wanting Mize to feel good about his start.
His opinion

Wow, youre dying on the strangest hill. Bottom line is that he was cruising today and shouldn't have been pulled. Especially since there isnt any data suggesting he falls apart the 3rd time through the order
In addition, your take that he was "cruising" against the top of the lineup the first two times through is shortsighted. 1 through 3 hit two singles and two doubles the first two times through.

Did AJ have anything to say about Finnegan in the post game interview?

THE OTHER ROSTER.

Detroit Tiger fans have been following the recent trade acquisitions and multiple roster moves lately.
But have you been following all the moves made with the other roster?
The Front Office one.

this isn't a shocking development. Every CEO clears out a good portion of the old and brings in people that he is comfortable with. What he really needs to do is get someone in there that can evaluate pitchers, as most of Harris' acquisitions have been busts

Most all the pitchers he has brought in are hamburger. The pitching coaches can't change hamburg into filet mignon. A tweak here and there like dropping one pitch and increasing another pitch has helped, but it is still up to him to bring in better talent.

Mize shows All-Star form in much-needed bounceback outing.

“Barring an injury or catastrophic slump, (Alex Bregman) will opt out and join Tucker and Schwarber in a clear top tier among this winter's free agents …
Bregman is bound to get the five-year-plus deal at an average annual value of $35 million-plus”.

Will Vest has had quite the 3 year run. From '23-'25, 190 RPs have at least 100 IP
Vest ranks 33rd in ERA (just ahead of Mason Miller) 15th in fWAR (just ahead of Andrés Muñoz)
Hard to think where DET's BP would be if SEA didn't return Vest after taking him in the '20 R5 draft.

MLB News: Tarik Skubal Cy Young, Kyle Finnegan, Roman Anthony, Framber Valdez.
Can Tarik Skubal be topped?

It’s easy to love Detroit Tigers like Tarik Skubal and Riley Greene. Exciting players who are key to the team’s success.
But do you also have another list of players you like watching? Players for whom you have a soft spot and really want to see them succeed?
Many of them have great stories of overcoming odds both personally and professionally. Souls that despite all the setbacks pushed forward in an attempt to achieve their dreams.
So who are the players you really want to see achieve happiness and success on the playing field? The ones for whom you have a soft spot? (Extra credit for alphabetizing which makes it easier for other readers to compare everyone’s lists.)
