It still surprises me that everyone is analyzing the pitching problems, while ignoring the problems with the offense. We simply don't have good approaches when we need them, expand the strike zone almost routinely, and don't seem to have the ability to do things like moving the runner over, or getting sac flies when all we need is a run. All these problems compound once we get runners in scoring position, and we were 0-7 in that statistic today.

PONDERING THE IMPACTFUL.

Also very true, someone says to me the other day they think the tigers will be better off the #2 vs #1 spot I told them they will be the #3 and lose in the first round. They said no way that won’t happen, oh yes it will you don’t watch them every day like I do they have been terrible for two months now.

This is true but Friday we lost 7-5 to the Sox.
Sunday we lost 6-4 to the Sox.
I agree our hitting approach is terrible but if we had any decent pitchers in either of these games we win both.
Same goes for these two games we lost 10-8 and 12-5 the to the Mets. We should have gone 3-1 in these 4 games we lost.

What would it take for Tarik Skubal to win MVP?
In honor of an all-time season, let’s get silly with it.

MLB Cy Young Predictor - 2025.

Brant Hurter returned to the mound for Toledo on Saturday night. The good news? He threw strikes (19/26) and didn’t give up any contact > 94MPH. The bad news? 4 ER on 4H and a wild pitch, and 7 balls hit at 87-93 MPH.

This marks the second time in franchise history that the SeaWolves have taken on Altoona, last time being in 2004. That roster featured future Tigers Curtis Granderson, Ryan Raburn and Wil Ledezma.

Paul Sewald made his 2nd rehab appearance for the West Michigan Whitecaps today. He gave up a single, but struck out 3.

Eduardo Valencia blasts his 22nd homer of the year. Left his bat at 109.5 MPH and traveled an estimated 415 feet.

The Tigers are 26-33 in non Tarik Skubal starts since June 12th.

McKinstry is 4th in the AL amongst 3rd basemen, 6th in the MLB.

Tigers postseason bullpen?
Will Vest and Kyle Finnegan at the back end.
Paul Sewald, Brenan Hanifee and Tommy Kahnle vs RH parts of the order,
Tyler Holton and Brant Hurter vs LH parts of the order.
Troy Melton and Rafael Montero vs RH and LH.

THE WRONG COBB.

The year-long wait for Alex Cobb to return from the IL is over. We will never see him wear the Olde English D.
And so many fans are furious at the Tigers – Scott Harris in particular – for signing him.

In our last 2 series we went 2-4. In those 4 losses we scored 8, 5, 5 and 4. With league average pitching we're cruising on a 6 game winning streak.

Since August 1st we have 16 losses. 9 of those loses we scored 4 or more runs. But in 13 of those 16 losses we would've had to score 7 runs to win.

I dont get blaming the offense here
