Tigers have bludgeoned the Yankees this season. Detroit has taken 4 of 5 from New York this year and have outscored them 37-9. There is a great chance Detroit would play New York in the playoffs and if they do, Tigers fans gotta love their chances. Magic number now 8.

The Tigers are the first visiting team ever to win back-to-back games by 10+ runs at Yankee Stadium (old or new).
The Tigers have outscored the Yankees 23-3 so far.

Tigers Territory Podcast: Tigs Farm Report With TMLR's Rogelio Castillo. 50 minutes.
The Athletic's Cody Stavenhagen and co-host Kieran Steckley are joined by Tigers Minor League Report co-owner Rogelio Castillo to discuss the health of the Detroit Tigers farm system. Is Kevin McGonigle legit? What's the proper way to view Max Clark? And, a few under the radar names to know.
Is McGonigle ready? Is Max Clark a CF? Rainer legit? Latest on Liranzo and Briceño.

Detroit’s record vs the other top 5 AL teams:
TOR (3-4)
NYY (3-1)
BOS (3-0)
HOU (4-2)

Josue Briceño is hitting .302/.400/.535 during his 11 game hitting streak, and has caught in 7 of 11 games.
In '25 Josue has 45 games at C + 52 at 1B/DH. As C: .263/.374/.545 (.919 OPS), 14.3 BB%, 20.2 K%, .282 ISO
As 1B/DH: .277/.402/.479 (.881 OPS), 16.6 BB%, 19.2 K%, .202 ISO

Meadows and Baez let Yankee pitcher off the hook after Three straight singles.

The quality of our lefties pitchers after Skubal is worrisome.

Holton gets ahead of the lefty 0-2. A few uncompetitive pitches later he gives up a single. Sawyer-Long coming in.

Perfect pitch by Long . He does not get the strike called.
These umps are so bias.

Dang 92 mph had some movement. Gets the K.
Long does not pay attention to runner first easy steal.
Long falls behind 2-0 easy cookie for a double 2-1 Yankees.
Folllowed by a single 3-1. Long stinks.
Long isn’t holding runners. Another easy steal.

Does Anyone really like Gibson-Long’s stuff ?

That is a bad break.
Torres Doubles. Gets doubled off on a line out dp.
Poor base running.
We gotta get Carpenter hitting with men in scoring position.
Greene grounds out on 1st pitch

Seen enough of Long’s BP pitch. Just serve it up dipshit.
Freaking 90mph right in Judges wheel house.
Trail 4-1.

I haven’t really been impressed so far. He is a prospect that we have waited on for a long time (due to TJ surgery), and might be promoting him a bit too quickly after the long wait.
The Yankees seem to like his stuff so far….

Stanton should been rung up. I guarantee yankee pitcher gets that call. Ball hit the box with 2 strikes. He should have K’d.
next pitch is another 81 mph BP pitch homer.

This Ump misses another strikeout .

Whitecap Pitcher gets pulled up 4-0 top 7th with a no hitter.
Relief pitcher gives up hit to first batter. I can’t see his pitch count
He had 5k’s and 1 bb. Inning over 4-0 bottom 7th.

Looks like Tiger hitters are packing it in sadly.
We need a spark !

Tigers are back to expanding the zone. You would think the last two games would have taught them a lesson

Gibson-Long is the same as he always is.
Not good at all.
8 homers in 50 at bats all to Righty's
He had Caballero 1-2 and threw a pitch right in the box.
What an idiotic pitch.

Well I do not see playoff roster in Gibson-Longs Future.
He can’t hold runners. Doesn’t throw many good strikes.,
Just another innings eater.
0-2 pitch right in the box. Hit to RF single
He is just a stupid pitcher.
Hits judge . AJ waits to long to Yank him.
Horn in (He has to get
Throws a pitch right in the middle 7-1.
Strikes out Stanton.
Horn gives up 2 singles to lefty’s but gets righty out :/
He can’t get the lefty’s out.

Tigers trail 9-1
