Im not worried about making the playoffs. They just won't do shit once its starts
Agree #3 seed then exits stage left round 1 unless they play the Yankees first, tigers seem to have spanks number over the last couple of decades

Solid debut inning for Jose Urquidy in his return from Tommy John. Averaged 20 inches of induced vertical break and 93.7 mph on the fourseamer. Command pretty solid. Gave up a two out single, and a pretty deep fly out to end the inning.

Vest has allowed 25 baserunners in his last 17 innings.

4 hits off a buncha stiffs with high era’s I mean that’s throughly unimpressive and instills zero confidence
It’s been a pattern all season sadly. But hopefully the division record will hold and we can win a few over Cleveland. They have much better pitching other than Skubal. They do struggle to hit the ball though.

PONDERING THE IMPACTFUL.
Totally Tigers

This week, a new assortment about the little things going on with our team. Small bits of info that are under the radar. Important observations but not enough to make each into its own blog.
I’ve got 5 bits of important observations I’ve been collecting over recent days. I’m asking you to pick one and run with it.

Great posts by biggunsbob, I could have said them all myself. In my opinion Keider Montero has pitched quite well in most of his appearances. I could see him as a 4th or 5th starter. Glad for the win 2-0, but it was a gift from M's defense. Have to be happy to see zero runs allowed by Tiger pitchers in this game. Agree that Tiger's plate discipline is usually terrible. The games that they have dominated is when they are making the opposing pitcher work, and waiting for pitches in the zone before swinging. If they want to go all the way to the WS in the post season they need areas of improvement that gives them consistency in all the post season games.
