Game #156: Atlanta Braves @ Detroit Tigers, Sunday September 21st, 2025 , 1:10 pm

Ive been bitching about him leading off so many innings a lot this year. Carp and Greene just arent getting on base enough and when they do its usually a homer clearing the bases killing his rbi chances. I wish they would've moved tork to 3rd in front of those 2 a long time ago.
It might be about Lefty - Righty in the batting order. Who knows.
The way everything is falling apart, I am not looking forward to another winter of discontent.

Rain delay reminds me of a blues song, "The Sky is Crying", and in this instance for our 2025 Tigers.

AJ is getting out managed every series this year. He just wasted Javy AND Jung in 1 at bat just to have that worthless Ibanez strike out again.
The obsessive need to always match lefty/righty doesn't lead to good results unless we have good pinch hitters ready to go. We don't.

AJ doesn’t know what’s going on? It’s clear as mud! There are too many guys in the lineup day in and day out that refuse to walk in the second half

Carpenter, green Beaz Perez, Ibanez among the worst.

What’s most frustrating is I know 4 of these guys are capable of being more selective. They can’t handle the pressure to win, last year nobody expected it, this year they do and they can’t handle it.

That’s really all there is to it.

Well, Royce Lewis just did us a favor, and hit a 3 run home run against Cleveland. Twins are up now 6-2 in the bottom of the 7th.

That is the third time in the game that Tork has struck out on a curve below the zone. You would think that it would sink in at some point that perhaps he should watch out for that.....and Wenceel tries to do the same thing, but gets a piece of it for a ground out.

Two men on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs right hand pitcher, and AJ's Pavlovian response? Pinch hit with Sweeney. Sweeney's BA the last 15 games? .083. His batting average the last 7 games? .000. Leave Ibanez in to hit. My God.

Cleveland losing. A ****ing miracle. 🙄
I know, right?

So all we need is for Cleveland to lose every day going forward and our guys can hang on and win by default.

A Tiger victory mixed in would be good.

Get winning back into that muscle memory.

This is close to the time when Ernie Harwell would say “and the Tigers need some instant runs.”

This whole team should be forced to swim laps in the Detroit River for this shit show. 😡

The red sox and indians scouts are at this game and reporting to their respective teams not to throw first pitch strikes to Tigers batters. They will swing anyway.
