Tigers starter Framber Valdez was ejected in the fourth inning Tuesday after he drilled Red Sox hitter Trevor Story in the back.
The Red Sox had just hit back to back home runs off him – Willson Contreras and Wilyer Abreu. They were big blasts, 449 feet for Contreras and 396 for Abreu.
Both admired their hits and took their time around the bases.

THIRD TIME ISN’T THE CHARM. Skubal.
Totally Tigers
most knowledgeable fans would have understood trading him away if the Tigers still went out and spent the $32M in savings on another pitcher and maybe a bat. Now they will likely miss the playoffs and get next to nothing in return for Skubal

Valdez found out what was going on but a couple innings too late and I’m sure was PISSED about it! Story got one in between the numbers because of it.
The sox were stealing signs and relaying to the batter.

Maybe he has to do a better job of concealing his pitches and grip in the glove.
And grow up.

Tigers' highlights: McKinstry's 2 errors and K with the bases loaded in the first inning after his injury hiatus ... Valdez's gopher balls and then the change up that he bounces off Story's back ...
