GAME 47 - Detroit Tigers vs Toronto Blue Jays, Sunday, May 17, 2026, 1:40 PM

All tigers need is a grand slam in the 9th :/

Or a bunch. Of hits .

Trail 4-1.

Ran all my errands. Planted flowers. ..only just started watching.
The damn series should been won yesterday but we have a really poor manager in the dugout right now.

Just so many poor at bats.

Tigers lose 4-1
Fall further out of the race.

Do your freaking job Harris .

Tigers play an embarrassing brand of baseball.
Have no power.
Have no speed.
Cant field.
Have marginal starting pitching.
Bullpen stinks.
A manger who cant get out of his own way.
Apparently minor league players who Harris won’t use.

Frustrating.

Blue Jays 4 - Tigers 1: Bats quiet, Flaherty a bit better
The Tigers didn’t advance anyone past first base until the eighth inning. Hard to win a game that way, I find..

Tigers bats struggle again as Blue Jays take series.
We will get to Jack Flaherty’s day in a minute. He was good. But unless he was darn-near perfect, the Tigers weren’t going to win this game. He wasn’t and they didn’t.
The Toronto Blue Jays took the rubber match, 4-1, Sunday at Comerica Park, handing the Tigers their 10th loss in 12 games and their second home series loss of the year.

Detroit Tigers offense slumbers on in series finale loss to Blue Jays.
The DetroitTigers' bats remained quiet in the series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays shut down the Tigers, 4-1, on Sunday, May 17, at Comerica Park in front of a hefty Toronto contingent in the stands. The Tigers (20-27) have now lost four straight series and 10 of their past 12 games.

Tigers’ offense falters again in series-ending loss to Jays.
The Detroit Tigers are steadily repairing their injury-riddled pitching staff. Now it’s time for the offense to get on track.
The Tigers lost 4-1 to the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park, finishing a three-game series in which their offense produced just five total runs.
The Blue Jays (21-25) took two of three from the Tigers (20-27), who have lost 10 of 12 and are in danger of slipping back into last place in the American League Central.

Didn’t watch or listen to a single pitch today and as a result not as mad as compared to if I had
Same here, other than Gameday at times, unlike years before when I would buy the extra innings package and remember how I swore at the tv.

Couldn't have said it better myself. All you said is absolutely true. Tigers lost their mojo starting the second half of last year's season and doesn't appear they're going to get it back anytime soon.

When looking at the funk the current Tigers are in, it is highly conceivable to see them getting swept by Cleveland and totally dropping out of contention for 2026 play offs. Sad to see. Harris is continuing to adopt the definition of insanity with foolishly spending of the payroll. Continuing to trot Jack Flaherty out there for another certain loss is ridiculous.
