GAME 51 - Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians, Thursday, May 21, 2026, 1:10 PM

The Detroit Tigers suck? Vent with us, rage with us.

YES or NO: Should the Tigers FIRE Scott Harris?
Everyone but the Detroit media is vocal on the lack of competency of Scott Harris and advocate they fire him, but before they do..ask yourself this, who are they going to hire, and damn Chris Illitch has been bad at this part so beware.
Theo Epstein. Pay him anything he wants and give him a piece of the team. But he has probably had better offers.

Did Tigers just signal that Kenley Jansen lost the closer job in loss to Guardians?
There might be an easier explanation.

The worst part of Tigers' spiral isn't that they might be forced to trade Tarik Skubal.
It goes deeper.

Talk of the Tigers trading Tarik Skubal is missing one key issue.
I'm Kurt Mensching, one of your Motor City Bengals newsletter correspondents, and I'm about to grab a bat and report to Comerica Park because I couldn't do any worse than this lineup has.

Troy Melton ready to air it out with season debut on the horizon.

Detroit Tigers weather report: Rain threatens Friday's game vs Orioles.
The Detroit Tigers have already dealt with plenty of bad baseball.
Now, they're dealing with bad weather.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Friday, May 22, in the opener of a three-game series between the Tigers and Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, but steady rain has created the possibility of a delay or postponement.
It's unclear whether the rain will impact Friday's game.

Brett Callahan is waiting longer during his at-bats -- as the Tigers wait on a potential outfield prize.
He hits left-handed, with power, as he showed during spring camp in Florida. He also is a plus-runner who plays defense good enough for center field. And he's moving steadily closer to Detroit.
