Probably a good thing tv is on Roku so less people see our Righty Turd lineup batting against a lefty. Will Ibanez wake up. Can’t wait to see Malloy and his .200 average take a bunch of pitches and strikeout looking. Hopefully Dingler is back over Rogers.

Hopefully we can stop this home losing streak. Lost 5 in a row to Cleveland darting back to the playoffs last season.

nydo77 posted this yesterday.

Riley Greene is 0 for 9, with 5 strikeouts this series. Colt Keith is 1 for 13, with 4 k's. Carpenter is 3 for 9 with 3 strikeouts, but he was pulled in late innings at least twice. Tork is 1 for 11, with 6 k's. McKinstry is 0 for 8, with 1 strikeout. Malloy is 0 for 3, with 1 k. Sweeney is 1 for 9, with 3 k's. Rogers is 0 for 7, with 2 k's. Torres, Dingler, and Baez are a hair better; less strikeouts, and around 4 or 5 hits between the three of them. The offense needs to change its approach. edit: I missed Ibanez; 0 for 5.

(Bad time to go into a hitting slump)

Btw
Boston put Bregman was put on the DL a few days ago.

Vierling base running gaff cost the tigers a 4th run yesterday. He needs to get his head up and get into a rundown or stop at first.

Listening to Caputo on 97.1 fm Detroit he said that the Guardians do all the little things well. Defensively that are fabulous. The have a better pen then we do. We need a player like Ramirez . Do we have anyone that plays with so much intensity. Im sure we do but he just looks the part of a mvp.

In the bottom of the 10th Torres had a great at bat and crushed a double to deep cf. scored 2 to make it 7-5.

Keith and Greene both hit the first dang pitch Clase threw. Both outs. Really bailing him out…..He isn’t as dominant this year. I don’t get being so aggressive at the plate behind by 2 runs.

Was that a failed hit and run play? Gleyber doesn't have the legs to steal a base. That last pitch appears to have been a strike, anyway, even if it was called a ball.

Tigers
Vierling F-8 (deep)
Torres BB
Ibanez K’s (looking) batting .227 now
Torres caught stealing
Greene

Have a look at the batting averages of the bottom 2/3rds of the Guardian lineup. If Skubal stays in form, he will only have a challenge with the top third.

Cleveland 2nd

Pitcher unassisted tag.
F-9 (Deep)
F-7 (Deep)

Skubal issue is 6 homers. He does give up the long ball. Idk. Maybe that’s a good number. Jack has given up 11 Skubal, Mize, Jobe all Are at 6.

Tigers 2nd

Greene safe E-1
Tork double (Tagged out)
Malloy FC. Worthless at bat. To Ss. (1 ****ing pitch)
Dingler K’s. Sigh
McKinstry BB
Baez 5 to the bag.

Malloy is just worthless, poor base running by Tork.
Tigers 3 more Lob’s.
Now batting 4-27 with RISP his series or close to that.

And that inning, in a nutshell, is how we are losing this series.

2nd and 3rd and no outs and Malloy swings at the first damn pitch
Dingler cant get even a damn sac fly.

But Malloy is batting .195 and his fielding isn't that great.
Why is he on this team ? When was his last walk even ?
He has only 1 homer. He isn’t very fast.

I just don’t understand swinging at the 1st pitch by Malloy.

Tigers 3rd
Vierling F-9
Torres BB
Ibanez soft Lineout Ss. (Now batting .224)
Greene BB
Tork 6-4

5 left on base now.
Today so far.
Team RISP0-4 (Báez 0-1, Dingler 0-1, Torkelson 0-1, Malloy 0-1)

sweeper right down the middle for a weak grounder. Tork can't seem to line up off speed stuff.

Our poor pitchers have to be perfect this series.

Go figure we get Vierling and Rogers back and a losing streak happens.
