Melton is not sharp . He keeps falling behind. Not going to last long today against this team. He finally throws a 1st pitch strike. Nice recovery after the Mullins homer.

need Keith to get his 1st one now as well. Mullins would have K's if rogers had challenged the strike called a ball two pitches prior.

Tigers notes this morning on Kevin McGonigle.

Max Clark goes yard for his 3rd home run of the season.

Javier Báez, out since end of April with a right ankle sprain, visited Monday with a specialist who recommended a break from rehab."Javy is going to need some time off," A.J. Hinch said. "He's just not progressing very quickly, and right now rest is still part of the equation."

TMLR Week 9 Recap: New month, new offense? 93 minutes.
The Tigers get off to a fast start in Tampa after ending one of the worst months of May in recent history. Can they get back to .500?

The picture above is of Madden, not Melton.

Fixed

Zach Short PH for Keith in the 8th with a RHP still on the mound. not sure if something is wrong with Keith now or what. Bat injury perhaps.

Melton at 82 pitches gets to start the 8th at least. but at 65 the other day Montero couldn't start the 7th. Maybe A.I. Hintch learned his lesson?
