Last year on June 7th my birthday my son took me to the cubs game and the tigers lost i think 6-1 in a boring game verses the cubs.
I paid 43 dollars for three beers and a 5 dollar tip.
Crazy expensive.

Hope Jack can win today. Big task for him.

Happy Birthday Bob.

Here's the rehab plan:
Casey Mize Tuesday in Clearwater for Low-A Lakeland.
Justin Verlander Wednesday at Triple-A Toledo.
Kenley Jansen, Tuesday at Toledo, weather permitting.

Perfect game averted, but the no hitter appears intact. Edit: the scorer made it a hit.

Typical flaherty, he strikes out a bunch and gives up runs, while the Tigers bats can't score runs off a pitcher who began the game with a 5.56 era.

And the pressure builds up until Flaherty makes a few mistakes, they replace him with the latest project in the bullpen, and the game starts to slip away. I don't understand the hitting approach of this team; they obviously managed to put things together for a few games, then it disappeared again.

There is some apathy with the players on this team, partially from the many injuries to position players, starters, and relievers. Add that the players are having difficulty in learning much from the hitting coaches. Who was it bueragard (sp) who was let go?
Now as I look at Keith pinch-hit for with Jones, hinch is going with the matchup of Lefty righty. TTTBDNS. I'm getting tired of all this with the bullshit match ups.

At some point, Hinch needs to go off of autopilot, or he will be fired (after taking the team down another time or two). When you have one hitter hitting more than a hundred points above another, that should override the lefty/right matchups, if he has any common sense, and Jones' poor numbers have almost all been accrued hitting against the left handed pitching that he is supposed to be able to hit....

Exactly. I'm beginning to wonder if Harris isn't the "only smartest guy" in the room.

Back to crap offense. 2 hits yesterday. This today so far.
Wake up please ! It’s my birthday Guys !

They both seem a bit too smart to be able to see their own faults. Harris treats the team more like a jigsaw puzzle with interchangeable pieces that he just can't give up, even when they don't really fit anywhere.

Perez triples on a 0-2 pitch ! 2 RBIs. It’s 4-3 now.
Vierling fails again to drive runner in from third and ZERO outs !
Third basemen makes a diving stop . So frustrating.
McGonigle fails against the lefty popouts out to left.
Torres k’s on a pitch way too high.
Sigh.

Runner on third zero outs and these guys fail again this year.

Seattles Pen is impressive so far last two games, other then last inning before tigers failed with a runner on 3 rd and ZERO outs.

So vest this inning .
Dickerson and Dirks pleading for a clean inning for vest so he can get on a roll.
Naylor 1-2 count single . (Picked off). Out at 2nd by vest.
Arozarena HBP. (Picked off 1st)
Strikeout.

So vest had sort of a clean inning lol.

Tigers 9th . We need a bloop a a blast please.

Tork……………popout
McKinstry..BB
Perez…………BB
Vierling…… 5-3. Runners move up.
McGonigle….single ! Tigers win ! 5-4 final

Base open Torres on deck . Why not walk him ?

And now we have Vierling batting instead of carpenter.
because of AJ lefty righty crap.
