Minor league Update June 8th, 2025.
Toledo Mudhens (35-28) win a slugfest at (26-34) Columbus 11-9 Final. Mudhens had 11 hits. Workman had 3 hits and his 5th homer. Toledo used 7 pitchers . Still -3.5 games behind Nashville. Plus 2 teams in between. Time is running short.

The AL Central-leading Tigers improved to 43-24, while the NL Central-best Cubs fell to 40-25 in the first matchup this season of 40-win teams. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, June 8 matched the earliest such matchup since 2004. The Yankees and Dodgers played the first such game of last season, also on June 8.

It's funny, when running or jogging, he looks like the most unathletic athlete I have seen in a while. When he first came up and was playing CF, I thought he was great. It took me a while to understand that he was making all of those diving catches because he was slow, and had to dive

Detroit Tiger fans continue to wrap their minds around this stupendous, startling season. It’s probably the biggest surprise we’ve seen since that 35-5 start back in 1984.
But we really should have seen it coming. All because of this proverb:
Fortune favors the bold.
Because that is exactly what the Tigers have been doing in earnest since October 2022.
The proverb is about taking risks and stepping outside of comfort zones. Making bold moves. Ditching old patterns.
Habits that end up creating success.
And that’s exactly what this franchise started doing.
They’ve done it before in the past.
