LHP Brant Hurter is now listed as the Tigers' starter tonight, presumably as the opener for RHP Sawyer Gipson-Long. Although given how lefty-heavy the Orioles lineup is, I wonder if we might see him go more than just 3-5 batters.

The Detroit Tigers Still Hold Onto the Best Record Of Everything: Week 11 recap. 107 minutes.
On this week's recap, the Detroit Tigers take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs, the Whitecaps can't figure out the Lake County Captains for some reason, Erie pulls ahead of Akron and Lakeland looks to grab a playoff spot.
TMLR

Tarik Skubal's K% is 52.1% better than the league average, his BB% is 74.1% better. Only 2 of the 8,893 qualified starters prior to this year have at least met those two marks in their given season since 1916. Joe Williams in 1923 and Hilton Smith in 1938.

Spencer Torkelson enters today with 15 homers, 30 extra-base hits and 45 RBI this season. He joins Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh and Taylor Ward as the only four players in the AL to reach those totals.

Detroit Tigers top prospects: How they are performing in 2025.
Freep

We have six of the top 50 AL position players, as measured by fWAR.
T-12th(!!): Dillon Dingler (2.0)
T-20th: Zach McKinstry (1.7)
T-24th: Riley Greene (1.6)
T-30th: Spencer Torkelson (1.5)
T-38th: Gleyber Torres (1.3)
T-44th: Javier Baez (1.2)
Dingler ranks 3rd in the AL and 6th among all MLB position players with 9.8 defensive runs above average.

Dating back to May 12, we have the lowest starting pitcher ERA in all of baseball.
Over that span, Tigers starters have posted a 2.47 ERA, allowing 35 earned runs over 127.1 innings.

Tork batting 5th vs a lefty is just asinine. No reason he should be behind Greene and Dingler. Should be Baez, Torres and Tork 1,2,3.

Hurter looks good. Too bad Torres made him throw extra pitches both innings or hed probably go another.

Need to get Meadows going at the plate. Has he gotten any hits outside that first few games he came back ?

Baez showing off his arm on last two plays.

Nice half inning for SGL.

Getting all these doubles with 2 outs. Need some base runners.
