HOME OPENING DAY – FAN FEEDBACK.
Totally Tigers

Yesterday was the Tigers home Opening Day for 2026. A time-honored event for everyone who loves the Olde English D.
Today, we’re opening up the blog for fans to share their biggest observation from the game. Whether you watched it, turned on the radio or read media reports, we want to hear from you.
It can be about the pre-game celebrations, the game itself or what you saw or heard that didn’t take place within the white chalk lines.
What was the most interesting thing that caught your attention? Just one, please.
I will start the conversation.
The biggest ovation during the introductions wasn’t given to Tarik Skubal. That honor belonged to Justin Verlander – and it wasn’t even close. JV then went on to catch the ceremonial first pitch. The Tigers and their fans are showing him the love.
