Tigers-Guardians rainout Sunday forces another tweak to rotation plans.
The finale of the Tigers-Guardians series at Progressive Field was postponed Sunday because of a thick line of storms that rolled through the state.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sept. 4 (2:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m.)
Sunday was supposed to be the return of Casey Mize to the Tigers' rotation. But he will have to wait three more days. He is now scheduled to start the finale in Houston on Wednesday.

Detroit Tigers series finale rained out vs Cleveland Guardians.
The Detroit Tigers will have to wait until August for the next chance to end their losing streak against the Guardians this season, when they host Cleveland at Comerica Park. After losing the first two here at Progressive Field, the series finale was postponed due to weather on Sunday, June 14.
The teams will make up the game with a doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 4, when the Tigers return to Cleveland for a weekend series.
