Totally Tigers
With the continued stint on the IL for Matt Vierling, the Detroit Tigers have had to pivot re filling their 3B position.
Colt Keith’s original position was 3B until a shoulder injury pushed the Tigers to move him in order to keep him healthy. They have now re-inserted him at the hot corner and he’s played 2 games.
Keith is also hitting better. His latest stats (through Monday’s games) are .249/.340/.389/.729 .
But is he the best solution or should the Tigers trade for someone?
Let’s keep in mind that Keith has a contract that goes through 2029 with 3 additional years that are team options.
Should the Tigers trade for someone new, is there a solution for where to put Colt? Gleyber Torres at 2B will be here for the rest of the year and Spencer Torkelson has locked down 1B.
What should the Tigers do?
How should the Tigers fill the 3B position?
1. Keep Colt Keith there.
2. Trade for a new player.
