Fell to 6-6-1 after getting blasted at Psu 6-1. Same two teams play Friday night at Penn St. I am not sure this team can finish in the top 3 of the big ten. We lost much from last year's team and this is such a young team.

Fact is, Red isn't guaranteed to be the coach from year to year. He could retire any day and recruits know this. Many guys would love to play for him. But like any coach coming to the end of their career, the kids that would be coming in under his leadership aren't guaranteed he would be there and who the new coach would be. This is a tough spot for the hockey team to be in and Red should hang it up for the sake of the school's future.

M has nine recruits for 2018 so at least they are not concerned who will be the coach at Michigan, which, I think, will not have much of an issue hiring a first-rate coach.

You are always going to have recruits. Doesn't mean the college goes away when the coach does. As far as a first rate coach, nothing is guaranteed. Ask the Red Wings how they're doing. They lost one and didn't get one in return.

So I guess that Red will have to coach until he's 194. Or maybe Powers will step in. As for the Wings, apples-cinderblocks.

Go blue !!!!! Hopefully it'll all work out!!!!

Not different at all. Didn't Michigan athletics hire horrible coaching in return for the loss of Lloyd Carr? It happens all the time and in every sport.

You're kinda making my point all over again. Bill Martin is not the AD anymore.

Getting blasted again tonight 5-1 still in the third.
Will fall to 6-7-1 and 0-2..

After getting blasted at college station last weekend coming home to play Wisconsin up 2-1 after 1 period they get out scored 5-1 in second period and trailed 6-3 after two periods . 1 goal cuts lead lead to 6-4 but empty netter makes it 7-4 final. Two teams play again Saturday.

6-8-1 overall and 0-3 in the shitty big ten.
