Dan Campbell’s record
2021 (3-13-1)
2022(9-8)
2023 (12-5)
2024 (15-2)
2025 (9-8)

2022 to 2025. Four winning seasons in a row . There are a few three in a row and three out of four years 1993,94, and 95. 1992 was 5-11, while 1991 was 12-4.

Joe Schmidt had 4 winning seasons in a row and made the wildcard In 1970 then got feed up with ownership and the GM . His first two season he had losing records then
1969 (9-4-1) damn 5th best record. No wildcard.
1970(10-4) lost wildcard
1971 (7-6-1)
1972 (8-5-1)
1973 new coach 6-7-1

Three in a row 1960,61,62

Probably the two best stretches was 1950 to 1957, and 1931 to 1939
1950 was 6-6
1951 (7-4-1)
1952 (9-3) won nfl title
1953 (10-2) won nfl title
1954 (9-2-1) lost nfl title
1955 (3-9)
1956 (9-3) missed champions last game.
1957 (8-4) won nfl title
Lions started in Portsmouth in 1930 with a losing record.
1931 (11-3) 2nd
1932 (6-2-4)
1933 (6-5-0)
1934 (10-3) 2nd and first season in Detroit
1935 (7-3-2) won NFL title .
1936 (8-4) 3rd
1937 (7-4) 2nd
1938 (7-4) 2nd
1939 (6-5).
1940 .500

So longest stretch was 1931 to 1939. So 9 is the record.
Clark was coach for 8 of those. He left in 1939.

'22 9-8 looked good. '25 9-8 apparently does not.

And if you take out the 17th game that was added '22, and '25 wouldn't have counted.

Well you can’t take them out because all 17 games count.
Sadly injuries have made the lions have many holes all over the
Field..

Four teams with first place schedules didnt make the playoffs.

1st-Lions (15-2) to (9-8)
1st-Chiefs (15-2) to (6-11)
1st- Ravens (12-5) to (8-9)
1st-Bucs (10-7) to (8-9)

3rd and 4th place schedule teams that made the playoffs.
4th Pats (4-13) to (14-3)
4th Bears (5-12) to (11-6)
4th 49ers (6-11) to (12-5)
3rd Jags (4-13) to (13-4)
3rd Panthers (5-12) to (8-9)

'22 coming off 3-13-1 gives fans hope. '25 coming off 15-2 makes fans feel that the team is regressing. That's the difference.

Oh they regressed. I just wonder if Brad and Dan can fix this and get the train back on the tracks.
