After 42 games in 2012: Cleveland 24-18 and Tigers 20-22.

After 42 games in 2013: Cleveland 25-17 and Tigers 23-19.

But, IMO, what happened last year has no bearing on this season whatsoever.

Those ####### Indians just took all 4 games against Seattle, which included beating up King Felix and Iwakuma. FFS we need to go in there and cool their asses off!

2.5 in the hole now.

They have a better team this year, it's not going to be easy, we need to stop under achieving.

They have 2 games with the Indians. Scherzer and JV are pitching. IF those two do their jobs the Tigers should win both games. However, neither one did their job's the last time they pitched.

And JV doesn't have great numbers in that shit park either.

2006 28-14 (67-53 afterward, .558)
2007 26-16 (62-58 afterward, .517)

2008 16-26 (58-62 afterward, .483)

2009 24-18 (62-58 afterward, .517)
2010 24-18 (57-63 afterward, .475)

2011 22-20 (73-47 afterward, .608)
2012 20-22 (68-52 afterward, .567)

2013 23-19 (afterward?)

Last time Indians had 3 walk-off wins in same series (and/or within a 4-day span) was July 23-26, 1992 vs Royals.

I saw that. I think I read that he has an era over 5 in that park.

Just found it....."Verlander has not pitched well at Progressive Field in Cleveland. His career numbers there: 7-10, 5.38 ERA, 1.339 WHIP"

That is terrible considering that the Indians have been pretty crappy since he has been in the league.

They're second half schedule is pretty brutal. Especially August.

In August they start by traveling to Miami. Then they go home to play Detroit and the Angels. Then they stop at Minn before heading out west to play Oakland and the Angels again. Then home for a series against Minn before heading back out to Atlanta and Detroit.

They also have to go to Texas in June and Seattle in July.

We're done with all those trips(except Miami the last series of the season).

It is likely that they are just on a hot streak right now. I think they are a better team than last year but I'm not too worried about what the Indians do. I am more worried about what the Tigers have been doing.

It's worst than most think. Tigers have been involved in 14 series. They have a record of 8-5-1. The split is with KC, it was a 3 game series that had a rainout/postponed in it.
In the 8 win series only 3 That's THREE have come against teams with a current winning record,NY; and they had a losing record when they played! Oak,and they R only currently ONE game over .500 and Atlanta. Also currently 3-3 against sub .500 Minny And blasted by sub LAA 0-3.

There current record against winning teams 9-9=.500 Take Houston out and it's 7-8 against sub .500 teams. 1-1 against .500 teams(KC) And of course Houston 6-1.

Now I have said they would win 90+ but as to who/how they get those wins is just as much a guess now as before the season begain? As this team is a Dr jekyll/Mr Hyde, as any I'v ever seen.

No it's not.

this echo's what a few of us have been saying all along.

The Indians will come back to earth soon enough, they started like this last year and still lost 94 games. Our team will play better, and hopefully DD will fill some or all of the holes.

And hopefully also cut Kelly. Its ****ing ridiculous that he's started 33% of the games, he is one of the worst players in baseball.

To be fair he has been better offensively than Alex Avila and Ramon Santiago!

Avila has been pitiful @ the plate and mistake prone behind it. He also is consistently getting hit/dinged up by foul balls or even bats. Maybe he squats too close to the plate? Fail to see how he is anything but a liability in the lineup, other than the fact that he has "job security" due to the dearth of MLB catchers who are above average to elite on O and/or D, and one backup in Pena, with Kelly as an emergency replacement. Too bad that VMart can't catch anymore, as in his prime he would been a better option to start than either AA or BP.

AA needs to heat up. If he doesn't I think they should give more time to Pena.

Avila would do well to ignore Leylands advice on being aggressive and going back to being selective and drawing walks. He probably has the best eye on the team for strikes and balls.

he might have a good eye but he can't put the bat on the ball! I also highly doubt he has a better eye than Miggy or Prince!
