Let's not forget

he might have a good eye but he can't put the bat on the ball! I also highly doubt he has a better eye than Miggy or Prince!

Well you can doubt, or you can look it up.

Alex Avila

Prince Fielder

Miguel Cabrera

Notice Avila swings at fewer balls out of the strike zone [O-swing%] than either Miggy or Prince, both this year and for careers.

Now notice I didn't say he was better at making contact or hitting, just knowing what's a ball or a strike better.

Last 30 days (From May 19 to April 20)

Cabrera (120 PA) .413 BAVG .483 OBP .769 SLG 1.253 OPS

Tuiasosopo (35 PA) .379 BAVG .486 OBP .621 SLG 1.106 OPS

Infante (93 PA) .356 BAVG .366 OBP .567 SLG .932 OPS

Garcia (10 PA) .200 BAVG .200 OBP .500 SLG .700 OPS

Santiago (17 PA) .200 BAVG .294 OBP .333 SLG .627 OPS

Avila (70 PA) .169 BAVG .286 OBP .305 SLG .591 OPS

Hunter (112 PA) .240 BAVG .286 OBP .288 SLG .574 OPS

Jackson (83 PA) .211 BAVG .268 OBP .303 SLG .571 OPS

Martinez (108 PA) .206 BAVG .231 OBP .333 SLG .565 OPS

After having HOT starts, both Jackson and Hunter have been as bad as Martinez and Avila. The funny thing is, Martinez and Avila could go on a 2-3 week hot streak and have their BAVG above .250.

Jackson was hitting .393 (24-61) after the game on April 16. He since has gone 17-90, .189 BAVG. Hunter was hitting .418 (28-67) after the game on April 19. He has since gone 25-104, .240 BAVG., 15 out of his last 68 (.221 BAVG).

So he stands there and watches balls go bye but doesn't walk and doesn't hit. Fantastic!

He has 12 walks this year. Only Hunter and Omar have fewer among the regulars. You need to stop sticking up for him....he sucks!

He also has the fewest PA's of any regular. And I'm not sticking up for anyone. I said he should drop the Leyland idea of being aggressive, then you twice posted some total bullshit off the top of your empty head, which I simply refuted with statistical evidence, and provided links.

I never once said he doesn't suck, but you keep on making false claims, and I'll keep slapping you around with stats and facts.

Better edit that post Tom before a mod sees it.

And way to be mature, if you can;t handle a baseball discussion, you probably shouldn't engage in one.

I enjoy baseball discussions with almost everybody here.
